At least 1 dead and 14 injured according to the DM. A day of celebration turned into another day of gun violence in the USA yet again!

Absolutely awful. Until they change their views on owning guns (which they won't) this will continue to happen.

Am here in the U S of A and the news is just full of shootings.
1 dead and 9 injured on the subway between the Bronx and Manhattan the day I got here 😳 gang warfare apparently, yet the dead and all but 1 of the injured were innocent bystanders. Crazy.

I see Biden has released a statement calling for assault weapons to be banned and tighter gun controls. In the good ol US of A, that is political suicide and has now effectively handed the presidency to Donald Trump on a silver platter.

Gun lobbyists hold too much power and influence in the gevernment and the 2nd amendment is the most important thing to almost all Americans. They would rather sell their mothers, sistrs, wives and daughters to human traffickers than have anyone try to make changes to their precious gun laws.

No it hasn't, Democrats always call for it, both Obama and Clinton did, Clinton made it a major issue of his first term and strolled to a second term. The only people they're alienating aren't voting for them anyway. It's Republicans who won't go near it in fear of pissing off their donor base.

Just seems ridiculous that a celebration event can end up with a mass shooting.

Honestly, it's an amazing country, with some wonderful people, but the basically unrestricted access to guns means the nasty ones can unleash carnage on a whim.

I just don't see it changing.

The scary thing is TS, it's a low scale mass shooting. There were hundreds of thousands of people there. It could have been carnage if they were actually adequate with weapons. Looks like they were just scrotes and bystanders managed to grab hold of one before he could shoot more people.

Agree with that. It could have been spectacularly worse.

You are right, you'd never see a republican president calling for tougher restrictions. But quick search of forums has shown me there are democrat voters who don't own guns yet also strongly disagree with any changes to the 2nd amendment. It's weird. I really don't get what they're afraid will happen if guns were taken away from citizens.

To think that we can call it low scale. They are so lucky someone stopped it.

The last thing we'll be thinking of on the prom when we bring home the BSM/Play Off double

It's defies words really.
