I think that’s the why he was so ungracious...what a mistake to make turning down Sadler. And to think we could of ended up with him as manager 12months ago
“It was dry, it was slow, the pitch.”
What a crock of shoîte
He said it also when he knocked us back for the manager,s job in the O,s reignSteve Evans said that when he was at Rotherham.
Club-controlled media is never going to give you a fair picture. It's one of the downsides to independent local sports news outlets no longer being where you heard the first post-match interview.
Neil Critchley managed to make it sound like losing 4-1 to Ipswich at home was like a school trip to Chester Zoo where everybody got a badge.
I know Jimmy Armfield recommended him and Lee Clark to KO at one point when he was his special advisor but the reality at that time was they weren't getting anyone in with any sort of future ahead of them.
Yes seemed to like the interest but used it to push for the things he wanted at Oxford. Wellens the same at Swindon. Wouldn't be surprised if it's all wasn't just one agent away from all being linked, same on player and management role recruitment. Football is a tight industry. He was also our top target after Grayson got sacked but it just never materialised.
I think when your own team has clearly been second best on the day it's a bit churlish not to acknowledge that fact.I think you're all over-reacting a bit. He saw the game through the prism of his own team's performance. Fans do it all the time, why shouldn't he?
Because blaming a dry pitch!!! No fans being there to pick up the team after a bad start (believe it or not Karl its been the same for EVERY team) and not Blackpools ball for the first corner are all lame excuses.I think you're all over-reacting a bit. He saw the game through the prism of his own team's performance. Fans do it all the time, why shouldn't he?
Really? I had a look at one of the Oxford messageboards last night and pretty much everyone said we were impressive / good / really good / deserved it / have a good chance of going up'. One guy described it as a 'tactical masterclass from Blackpool'.The fans are just as bad, a lot seem to think they had the better chances.
