Karl Robinson's reaction.

Bit of a weird character, moves about a lot and talks some shite.

Yes oxford had a few chances but how on earth we didn't score more I dont know.

We scored 2, kaiaki had close shots from range, Kaikai also was through on goal and hit their keeper.

Ballard one was cleared off the line.

2 times we got wide and put a fizzing ball in along the floor and only needing a touch and almost an og and their player sat on the ball.

We probably should have had a penalty.

Quite a few half chances also like Gabriel in a good position and Virtue plus others. Probably missed some chances.

But ok Karl 🙄

It seems that everybody that we beat, the same old excuse always seems to be trotted out, that they didn't turn up or it was their worst performance of the season. Toughen up boys, the best team won !

Always hated the man, from the day when he said ,whatever tin pot club he was managing was a bigger club than the Pool , Smarmy git on the touch line also

Steve Evans said that when he was at Rotherham.

Club-controlled media is never going to give you a fair picture. It's one of the downsides to independent local sports news outlets no longer being where you heard the first post-match interview.

Neil Critchley managed to make it sound like losing 4-1 to Ipswich at home was like a school trip to Chester Zoo where everybody got a badge.
He said it also when he knocked us back for the manager,s job in the O,s reign

I know Jimmy Armfield recommended him and Lee Clark to KO at one point when he was his special advisor but the reality at that time was they weren't getting anyone in with any sort of future ahead of them.

He was also our top target after Grayson got sacked but it just never materialised.

Yes seemed to like the interest but used it to push for the things he wanted at Oxford. Wellens the same at Swindon. Wouldn't be surprised if it's all wasn't just one agent away from all being linked, same on player and management role recruitment. Football is a tight industry.

I think he was struggling a little to get over what he was really trying to say which was actually- " We weren't at our best today , but that was because we were playing a very good Blackpool side . They made us look poor because they were overall too good for us and their tactics were spot on . Congratulations to them on 3 well deserved points " . His brain was thinking this but his big mouth wouldn't oblige .

I think you're all over-reacting a bit. He saw the game through the prism of his own team's performance. Fans do it all the time, why shouldn't he?
I think when your own team has clearly been second best on the day it's a bit churlish not to acknowledge that fact.
Inside he was probably feeling very lucky to have escaped a good spanking.

Because blaming a dry pitch!!! No fans being there to pick up the team after a bad start (believe it or not Karl its been the same for EVERY team) and not Blackpools ball for the first corner are all lame excuses.
If you think that his excuses are ok then fair enough but I don't think you'll find too many agreeing with you.

"So Karl, what are your plans to get that home win next time round."
"We're going to ask the good folk of Oxford to come down before with a watering can apiece. Each person will be responsible for their own 5 square yard section. Refills available on request".
