Wonder if Leicester will want him out on loan again this season? Did well at Luton last season and so a step up to the Championship clearly didn't phase him.

Neil Critchley never seems to go in for players we have had before...I dont think we even tried to get KDH last year...would love to break the bank and sign him but it is beyond us Im afraid...

As an aside I Think if the club did an Andy Watson style buy a player fund for the fans then there would be a decent interest and they would raise some serious money (perhaps the club could match what the fans raise and buy a player with it) I am sure the various fan groups would run with this and maybe something for the SLO to bring up at the next meeting.

Maybe ask Valeri if he wants to contribute?

Agree you’d think VB would have made a grand gesture. He did very well out of the Pool, as did we the fans, but was always a bit disappointed he has never chipped in 😀he always liked the drama off it all I think so why not approach him to enquire if he’d be interested.

Successful loan at League One, followed by a very successful loan for a lower end Championship side last season..

He'll be getting loaned to a top end Championship club or lower Premier League side this year I reckon

Signed under Grayson worked with Critch for two games one draw and one defeat before the season got curtailed is that long enough for NC to have an opinion of KDH?

I can see him making the match day squads for Leicester and being on the bench. That would be the obvious progression after a year in the Championship.
If he was for sale he would be costing more than we can afford.

Because the club is now owned by Simon Sadler .
He seems to be doing perfectly well without ‘blasts from the past’ chipping in.
Valeri is a top man but this is Sadlers gig now.

Wasn't Valeri disqualified from involvement with any football club? If so, SS would need yo be cautios about any grand gesture or investment. I also think he wants to look forward, not back

Would the people who think £15 is too much to watch us play a Premier League team in pre-season pay in?

It would still be nice to get in a player that really excites the fans. Dewsbury-Hall was exemplary for me. Might still be 12 months off being a Leicester regular but I think he'll probably be wanted the first month as the Euros etc will undoubtedly have an impact on squads.

He'd have to learn to pass sideways instead of scoring from the edge of the box to play in our midfield (unless he's called Kenny and is playing at Wembley obvs)

🤣

Serious money? 10,000 people paying £15 (if you forget that half our fans wouldn't pay that) each would raise £150,000. You'd need to pay for policing, stewarding and other matchday costs out of that plus a fee to our opponents if you want a team that is a draw of any kind. Even with Simon Sadler doubling it (people on here are always very good at spending Mr. Sadler's money for him) you would raise just about enough for a year's wages for a good championship player.

It's a fine idea if you want a league 1 player but at this level it isn't worth the SLO wasting the board's time.

Dunno haw much we could raise but we do have some wealthy fans and maybe some budding Belekons or indeed the man himself...if we could raise £3-400k and the club match it then we could sign a potential fans favourite even from a lower division with potential and time on their side

This is the sort of stuff tin pot strugglers do.

We are not in that category.

To raise 3-400k we would need to charge £30 or £40 and get 10,000 in (more like £40 to £50 if we cover costs too). Not happening

If he didn’t form the opinion that he’s shit hot then I’d be disappointed…two games was enough to see that.

Rodgers has said he isn't going out on loan this season. Wants to get him playing in the first team. I am curious about where Ronan will end up this year. He's not getting into the Wolve squad so can see him going out on loan again.

I was impressed by Connor Ronan too, thought he had a touch of the Hoolahan's about him but unfortunately broke a metatarsal back in May playing for Grasshoppers of Zurich. This was said to him out for 4-5months so unlikely to be available to go out on loan.

I really liked him. I agree on the hint of Wes.

Unless you've been in a coma for the last 10 years. Burnley in footballing terms are miles ahead of us. And are therefore currently a bigger club.
They've been much better run for 8 of those ten years, that doesn't make them a bigger club. Would you say Bournemouth are?

Why are some dwelling on past loans who shone in poor teams?

We are better than that now and we should be looking forward and relying on the Critch factor to unearth fresh talent, which he obviously has the knack for - UTMP
Because you can't discuss hypothetical future players you've never seen or likely ever heard of.

Burnley is not a bigger club than Blackpool and the town is half the size…
Unfortunately they'll pip us on pretty much every contributing factors to club size. They've won more, bigger stadium, bigger gates, played in the top flight more than us and are still playing in the top flight in the modern era

We're talking about footballing stature here aren't we? Bournemouth are ahead of us. Burnley are a division above us.

So where would KDH get more progression from? A PL relegation battle? A Championship promotion run or a Championship relegation battle?

I think fans need to drop this "we're bigger" than them bollocks.

I thought we were talking about 'bigger' clubs, not sure that's the same as 'stature'. My definition of the size of a club, for what its worth, is the size of its fanbase. The 'stature' of a club is maybe more to do with trophies and league status.

Far too sensible a post for here. Burnley are a slightly bigger club than us, not by much though.

Any club that can get nearly 20k in the 4th division deserves some respect (yuk)

We're talking about a footballer, the size of a fanbase means absolutely nothing.

I think it’s safe to say that KDH is staying at Leicester and is a million miles out of our league atm. (Based on the struggles to bring back Ballard / Embleton / Gabriel.)
One to write off completely and wish him all the best, a bit like Joe Hart, etc.
