Kneecap and 2 tier justice

One idea might be to stop Islam growing and growing in this country.

You seriously can’t tell me Islam is great for the UK or Europe.

It’s a political/religious movement and should be banned, it’s insane.
Not sure that is any more or less insane than most of them, they are all a bit weird when you look at them.
World would probably be a better place if we focused on the here and now, looked after this planet and each other and left supernatural beings, heaven and hell to fantasy books and films.

True but Islam is on the rise and we now have over 6 million people living in the UK whose loyalties are first and foremost with the religion of Islam.

Not for me that.

Come here, work, live, prosper but leave your nut job political religion at home.

You do have a point to some extent but all Christians aren't American Evangelical Creationist doomsday obsessives just as most people from the world of Islam arent Jihadist Suicide Bombers.
I would say keep your religious beliefs to yourself, don't impose the weirdness on other people and to sort of agree with you if you have very strong beliefs you are probably best living with like minded people in a country where you are considered normal.
Its a major reason why i don't choose to live in Saudi Arabia or Alabama!

Hundreds of Turkish Islamists have attacked a satirical magazine after claiming that it published a cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad. Protestors chanted ‘tooth for tooth, blood for blood, revenge, revenge’ outside the office of LeMan, which denied that the image was of Muhammad. Police quickly intervened, erecting barricades and firing pepper spray. But instead of cracking down further on the Islamists, the Turkish authorities appear to now be targeting the journalists. Four employees of the magazine have been arrested and the chief public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into claims that the cartoon ‘publicly insult(ed) religious values’.

You could always move to Israel. I'm sure they would welcome a brave volunteer.

That's the same 20s who has consistently called the deaths of 70,000 as 'unfortunate collateral damage of war' at best, when not trying to claim they brought it on themselves by supporting Hamas.
War is horrible, innocent people die and when you look at it on a personal human scale it's awful. Sick.

However if we look in WW2, when the uk retaliated and massively bombed Dresden, many civilians died, it was controversial, but in war you respond in kind or do what you can.

Imagine if that were today, videos of people dying, mothers, children burning etc, it would be used as evidence of a war crime no doubt.

Terrible things were done on October 7th, unthinkable things, you can understand the reaction, imagine if it were us it happened to, they've always tried to be targeted, give aid, but are up against a sick organisation in Hamas who use the people as shields.

Saying that many of the people clealry support hamas as many shocking videos show.

Yep if people don't think they'll be issues when that population grows more and more, then I'm not sure what to say.

You see sectarian politics now, a huge watch list of islamists already.

Now of course most Muslims are peaceful but when polled a worrying % share some views that aren't fitting with the country. There's also issues with the text and what it says against non believers etc, which the fundamentalists take as written clearly. Also issues about treating women in a way thay doesn't fit this country.

However, if you look at some more 'sensible modern' counties like Dubai or others around and you can see a bit more a moderate take.

In this country weve been far too soft, for fear again for being racists no doubt and allowed more radical elements to go almost unchecked, when in many Islamic countries they'd be banned.

good post. If this situation wasn't so serious, I'd have to laugh at Wizs comments. Once again he tries to distort. You only have to search for "collateral damage" to see how many times I've used it, how I've said i don't like the term and how many others have used it including him before me. Shameful once again Wiz.

Has anyone ever tried to ban or remove a specific religous group before? Can't recall any obvious examples from recent history.
I thought freedom of religious faith was supposed to be a fundamental human right.

Ideas aren't the problem. The people who twist them manipulate others are.
