Lancashire side you have a soft spot for

Poulton Town. My uncle played in goal for them for a while, and my old bowling skip ran the team in the late 70s

Part of the County Palatine, as are Manchester and Liverpool, but not in the administrative County of Lancashire (and neither is Blackpool as a Unitary Authority)
It irritates me how Yorkshire has metropolitan counties, but has been able to market itself as a cohesive county very successfully.

Leeds is not seen as a separate city outside of Yorkshire.

But most people under the age of 40 think I am daft when I say that Manchester and Liverpool are part of Lancashire. My response is to ask them what the flower is on City’s badge. It’s not the worker bee, it’s the red rose.

Maybe it’s because Manchester and Liverpool have world appeal whereas you can’t say that about any of the Yorkshire cities.

Right, so can't abide the Nobbers, Cods, t"Rovers, Dingles or Accy ..

.. however I've always had a soft spot for Morecambe.
AFC Blackpool, Blackpool Wren Rovers, Squires Gate, Thornton Cleveleys, Poulton, Wyre Villa... oh and the recently reformed Norcross FC.

Burnley - Dad lived by the ground as a boy before moving to Lytham St Anne’s and theirs was the first cup final I can remember from the early 60s. Also the best views from any stand in the country.

I LIKE the non league stuff on BBC LANCS . so i am going to go with CHORLEY . IF you had to put me down for one team. they have had some good cup runs or was it quite recent. And their ex manager has just come back as chairperson.
Chorley is where Mickey Walsh was from :)
