Larry's Best and Worst Signing

Scannell did more in the Lincoln game than Nuttall managed in 10 games so I dont follow that logic...I really dont get the depth of animosity toward Scannell as he hasnt really been given a chance.

Tough one. Husband is under rated and I prefer maxwell so far to Alnwick.

I would stick with husband.

Again for worst, it's difficult as I honestly don't think the signings have had chance to shine. Nuttall is obvious but until he gets a run with decent service I wouldn't label him, same with scannell - how many games had he had in a run?

Scannell hasn't played as much as he probably should have.
Hard to argue against Nuttall, although our fanbase's attitude towards him is a joke.
Clearly a lad highly thought of by his previous club, but has zero confidence here.

We've certainly not seen the best of most of the players due to the way Grayson stifled their natural game.

Worst player: We have a large group to choose from! 🤣😁

Have to say Husband is the best signing he made and I was glad it was made permanant.
Worst I have to say Nuttall at the mo. I do agree he hasn't really had a good enough run. My Blackburn mate saw a fair bit of him and said with a good run in the team he will flourish. He hasn't had a good run and Grayson's style probably didn't suit him.

Preferring Maxwell to Alnwick ? Id love to know the rationale behind that opinion.

For a start I wasn't blown away by Alnwick like everyone else. Also he didn't seem to communicate greatly with his defence too much. Maxwell seems more assertive on coming for crosses.

Also, I'm not saying both would be my choice but if I had to pick one it would be maxwell. One of maxwell problems is he is on loan from Preston, and for the childish amongst us that means he is disliked.

Hopefully at some point he will get a proper run in the team and bang in a few goals. Personally think we should have sent him out on loan for the rest of the season to build his confidence up.

Have to say think harsh to say nuttall.. he wasn't on long for sat but set up fontz in injury time. I think he needs to play some full matches with likes of madine as striking duo. But agree if he isn't going to get a good run then loan out to get confidence back.

For me worst has to be scannell.. a journey man who is well past his best and Bradford of div2 were happy to get rid.. which says it all.

GOE, Maxwell was released by Preston and is on a contract till the end of season.
Although frustrated by Nuttall’s performances to date there have been hints of a much better player whose game is just waiting to click.
My main recollections of Scannell are of him consistently trying to knock the ball past defenders then failing to outpace them.
If it was Larry who brought the January loan players in then he did a good job.

I don't think you can include loans in this to be honest and if we're only talking permanent signings then it has to be Husband and Nuttall.

If Thornilys performance at Wycombe is anything to go by he could take the crown as the worst.

Honestly dont agree with any of that. For a start Maxwell isnt on loan ,he signed a short term deal.

Alnwick far superior IMO, Stats will back that up i imagine. No surprise our form has dipped dramatically since Jak's injury.
