With it looking increasingly like Barrow being restored to the Football League playing like 'Barrowcelona', there is an interesting piece on the BBC Sports site about Man City.

Manchester City are facing a possible Premier League points deduction and could even be forced to play in League Two in the wake of their Champions League ban, experts have warned.

Could make an interesting league and bring some much-needed money into the smaller clubs, if their plastic fans stick by them.

Manchester City, England's own version of Rangers FC?

If it’s happened to the likes of Rangers then why not City...They’ve bought their success at the end of the day and broke the rules. They’ve managed to win umpteen domestic trophies over the last 10 years which they shouldn’t have won including the the horrendous 6-0 demolition of Watford in the FA cup. Was the worst cup final of all time. They should get severe punishment and let it be a lesson to anyone else that follows their footsteps. Plus nobody cares about Man City 😏

If it can be proved they cheated then they should get the book thrown at them. They will have the worlds best lawyers making sure it doesn’t. But they are tarnished now. I hope it is proven and they pay the price.

Totally different circumstances to Rangers. RFC became insolvent due to tax owed and basically folded and reformed as a ‘NewCo‘ and as such had to reapply to join the Scottish league and had to start at the bottom, City would be a punishment for basically cheating

That story first appeared in the Daily Star, so I wouldn't rely on it TOO much. Interesting though.

I think it is far more likely that they will get a points deduction that looks severe, even if it merely takes them out of the Champions League places that were irrelevant to them anyway. 😀

No sympathy whatsoever wonder if their fans will stick with them.

Is City the only club in Europe that's broken these rules? Surely not. What about other English clubs? Are they being singled out?

Oh dear

I would love to see it and it’s as much as they deserve however money talks can’t see it happening. I think Derby on the other hand should be looking over their shoulders.

Yeah but what about the rest? Loads of clubs are breaking and twisting the rules. I'm no City lover but...
Didnt PSG get clobbered and I'm sure a few others will have taken a small knock too? I guess many-like say Liverpool-stick to the rules because above all else they haven't the brass to do otherwise, but City's sheik owning clique seem to think they are above it all.

Edit:yup loads. Just check out the Wiki page on it

Nobody else been banned for two years. All the City lawyers have to do surely is prove other clubs are being treated differently?
