Poor sods!

Former Football League boss Lee Clark is back in management in Sudan.

He has been appointed the new manager of Sudanese top flight side El Merreikh.

Clark, who is 48 years old, last managed in non-league at Blyth Spartans but parted company with the National League North side in March last year.
He joined Newcastle Blue Star in July as director of football but has now stepped back into management abroad.

Interpreter required for sure. And that’s just for the English boys.

How Random lol I actually liked him

He inherited a bad squad here, always felt if Riga didn’t have the stand off until after the Transfer window and signed quality we be still a championship club, or if Clark had been appointed in Summer and signed players maybe would have been different

he did very well at Huddersfield Town

If you are looking for somebody to blame for the loss of our Championship status, I don't think you should be looking at Riga, Clark or any of our managers for that matter.

A club in Kenya or Tanzania might be nice for a change of scenery. But Sudan ?!?

Sir Stan used to spend his summers in the 50s training the Nairobi University teams. I once got a lift while hitch-hiking in Kenya in 1981 from one of his ex-players. He exploded with delight when I told him in casual conversation I was a Blackpool fan, and then told me all these SSM stories.

Best not to bring it up as you won't get many people agreeing with you. For the rest of us that was the penultimate straw on the camel's back which lead to us making a 5 year sacrifice.
I understand that just giving my opinion on that one, just feel Clark would have done better if it was his actual team

Last I heard Sudan wasn't on Newcastle Brown Ales export to list. I'll give him a month before he collapses into a desperate dried out heap.

LEE CLARK......The visionary manager who told Tom Barkhuizen (while at Blackpool) that he was a Right Back and couldn't play as a striker...... 🤔

The man's win rate at Blackpool was just 9.1%

The after match interviews will be worth tuning into just to hear how many different ways there are to pronounce El Merreikh.

I can see their name being shortened to Wor, or Wuh.
