Lee Evans.

All well and Good but we haven’t exactly brought in the numbers to replace him especially as we have a distinct shortage in the middle of the park.
Deadline has apparently now passed and not a great deal of deals.
Not suggesting we just bring in numbers but these are worrying times.

Still could be one more incoming according to Amos

Started great, played too much, looked like a moody Fooker who thought he was far better than he was… still pissed off he arrogantly walked off at 3-0 down to Reading when subbed…

A positive step forward this for the club which is ironic cos he’s been unable to do that for 9 months bar that Huddersfield goal.

Just weird really and sort of indicative of all the issues at the club on and off the field. How often have we signed a player, he looks great for 10-15 games (top assist man in the league, “the general”) and then falls off a cliff.

Best for all parties though at this time, he clearly didn’t want to be here, but I’m not celebrating him leaving like most, it’s just a bit sad really.

I liked him. I still enjoyed the good parts of his game right up until the weekend. He does have quality you cannot deny that its just his legs arent up to it anymore.

I think a part of the problem and why he tended to go backwards a lot is he wants to play that hollywood pass but the runs arent always there for him. This was evident again on Saturday and he would throw his hands up and question the front players whilst he had to take pelters going backwards again.

He did have a bit of an attitude im not going to deny that but so would I if I was given the abuse he was given every week. Who wouldnt? Saying that I dont think he truly ever wanted to be here. I think he felt he was a Championship level player when he came here and in his eyes he hadnt done a lot wrong at Portsmouth except getting injured.

At this stage of his career for a side like Bradford he is probably best suited to coming on late to keep the ball. If they want to take some sting out of a game they are leading in he can come on spray a few passes around and just keep the ball ticking over. Nothing too demanding physically for him but his passing can see out ten minutes at the end.

All the best and im sorry it ended so sour. The chants on Saturday were disgraceful

Amos Wynn Gazette
Don’t live in Blackpool but despite that I get so many Facebook posts from the Gazette but can’t be bothered to read them as after 10 seconds I give up with the ads and register requests😁

'his legs just aren't up to it anymore "

He's only 31

Well good luck Lee

I just hope you find a better place in Bradford And we’ve got money from them.

How sweet of them

Evans didn't want to be here and he's gone and Clarkson didn't want to be there so win win I think. And on that BOMBSHELL...

A player who had way too much confidence in his own passing ability, always trying the Hollywood ball, and losing possession rather than playing the simple, effective, easy pass. It was demonstrated in his last home game against Stockport when he tried an outrageos first time volley instead of controlling the ball and playing a simple cross.

I feel like the Clarkson signing especially is going to make us forget Lee Evans rather quickly. We're stronger in the middle than when we started today and we've offloaded a player who clearly didn't want to be here. I've been quick to criticise the club (and for good reason as of late, I think), but fair play for today - Clarkson won't have been cheap.

There’ll be more questions than answers about Lee Evans but if you’re around Blackpool or have even read on AVFTT (as these things don’t stay quiet for long) it’s apparent that Evans was a negative, disruptive influence in the dressing room and clearly didn’t get on with the management team which begs the question why Evo played him ahead of Finnigan on Saturday .. baffling.
Glad he’s gone - like a bad smell has left the room and will hopefully give the 3 new lads a chance to breathe and grow - hope they are quick learners!

Heard similar - never been a fan - never seemed like he really wanted to be here.

some people like to watch football but really haven't a clue about how it's played. Lee Evans, yep it was best he left but how many of you moaned about him always passing backwards even though his job was basically to keep possession and keep the moves ticking over. Just like you were doing about Barry Ferguson and Jay Spearing.

Amazing how he's gone to a team at the top end of the table. Maybe they have more of a clue than a lot of you do about the game..
