Lifetime ban pending

I see Oli McBurnie says he wasn't kicking out at him, but trying to step over him.

Yeah, good luck with that one Oli🤣
I think Briggsy used line that once or twice. I also remember my Thornton Catholic Club team mate Steve Reilly once genuinely needed the excuse when he legged up local hardnut Levi McPhee then accidently stood on him as he tried to help him up 😬 😂

You lot do realise don’t you that give or take a few days that’s the maximum sentence a magistrate’s court can hand out , the expense of sending it to crown is just not worth it.
im sure the bloke will have time to reflect his errors, not in to bans though, I think they are pathetic!! Ban ban ban ban , I suppose it’s the world we live in🙁

Surely you agree this thug doesn’t deserve the opportunity to do something like that again? A very cowardly attack on someone that was not expecting anything like that.

So your team is on the verge of the premiership and you decide to assault Billy Sharp who was stood on the side of the pitch at full time.

Forest confirm lifetime ban will be issued, so can only assume at this stage that it is a Forest supporter. Highly intelligent.

How about a court date, prison sentence and criminal record to go with that, please?

And as a NF season ticket holder he’s been given a life time ban from the club and quite rightly so! But this is probably too harsh as well for a certain poster on here 😉😉

I agree. But, of there is going to be a way back, there has to be an education route that the club signs up to. I think that is the right way forwards.

Nothing as he wouldn't have been on the pitch
I don’t know why he wouldn’t have been on the pitch in that scenario, he’d be even more pumped up with anger, I’ve seen a few headbutts but the power in that one was ridiculous, at first before watching it a few times I thought it could have been an accident brought on by his momentum and not properly looking up but my god if Sheffield Utd won I don’t expect he would just let it go at that & wander back to his coach slightly subdued

Swindon players getting grief after the putch invasion. This is poor, something needs to happen.
Agree - not many seem to remember the dangerous ‘cages’ we used to have to watch through in the 80’s. We can’t allow it to go that direction again but how to effective and safely control this is going to take some work. It’s all very well complaining about Stewards but they are paid how much? And their training is…? Have we forgotten how to watch football during COVID??

Edit: maybe in a penalty shootout the players should be on the sidelines and not the centre circle? (Accepting that Billy Sharp was not in the Centre Circle).

Must say it prompted the strangest charity collection .. still not really seeing the link between the two!

An online fundraiser started in response to an attack on a football player has generated more than £13,000.
Billy Sharp, captain of Sheffield United, was headbutted by a fan who had run on to the pitch after his side lost on penalties to Nottingham Forest.
Zoe Potts, a lifelong Forest fan from Alfreton, Derbyshire, started the appeal and said she had been "blown away" by the response.
Sharp has nominated Martin House Hospice as the charity to benefit.
The Blades had just lost the Championship play-off semi final at Forest's City Ground when hundreds of spectators came on to the pitch.
Nottingham Magistrates' Court heard Forest season ticket holder Robert Biggs, 30, assaulted Sharp in a "deliberate and senseless act of violence".
Biggs was jailed for 24 weeks on Thursday.
Ms Potts, who was at the game, said: "Everybody knew there was going to be a pitch invasion if we won.
"It was just excitement was going to boil over."
