Love Critch - however 2 main strikers on the bench ?

I think the cold snap has brought into view a nasty bout of vitriol on the board tonight.
This often happens when times are hard and pennies are in short supply for the lekky meter. One or two say something outrageous or insulting to get the vitriol started and soon its like a veritable bushfire. Such is the friction generated in these oft heated exchanges that the rest of the room just sit back in amazement as their whole house is comfortably heated by the incredible kinetic energy generated.
Well that's my theory anyway 😁

Love the logic but he was a prick in the Summer too 😂
 
Will take the season so far with bells on! We learnt very quickly after a bad start and are really no mugs in this division, we look solid and work it really well at times, just that final ball. NC gets every bit out of the players he has, would expect 2-3 signing in Jan maybe to bring us on to the next level. We are just getting established in this division and before the season most would take our position. I'm loving it after years of tripe, no disrespect to our past teams just the level we were at, but great to be back at this level and competing!

Come on 62, you have exelled yourself on this thread and shown us all what an erudite man you are, you must have it in you to come up with something better than, "stupid boy"

Anyway, back to the football !! I have commented on here a number of times including last season that for all the decent football we might play, our Midfielders in particular don’t score enough goals. In fact they don’t have enough shots on goal either. This puts pressure on the strikers to score but as the O/P identifies, our two main goal scorers are on the bench and when they do come on they don’t have enough time to make an impact. The midfielders are all a talented bunch but apart from Keshi and possibly Carey the rest appear shot shy and whenever somebody does have a crack, the ball goes way over the bar. I understand players can’t hit the perfect strike every time but surely our ratio of shots on target should be much better. Do the players practice shooting ? I keep seeing those who take a shot, a free kick, leaning back before they hit it and you just know it’s going over the bar. There are some basics here that with a little work and practice could yield a few more goals.
