I think the legendary pub band Shady played, their usual venue was the Star. Who could forget their version of Sunday Bloody Sunday!!!

Yep, did the Star loads, think it was mainly Fantasia on a Friday night when I went in.

The Star for me too, I was in my mid/late 20's though, used to come back on my weekends off, Saturday nights, loved the place, knew so many people in there. Shady were great and the Utter Gutter Band. They never let any male holidaymakers in but plenty of female ones!!

Just been out walking the dog - very windy, I’m 100m from the beach. Where there are trees, they are really swaying, don’t usually get this wind when in full leaf. I imagine the stage is getting a battering on Lytham Green.

BUT can I raise all to a better group ‘The Gutter Band’ who still remain one of the best bands I have ever seen - and I watched them a lot
