Before anyone sets off, tonight's gig has been cancelled due to the weather.
Eh? Why?Before anyone sets off, tonight's gig has been cancelled due to the weather.
Isn't it ironic? What a crock of shite the wind is 22mph not 40 that's the gusts and rain.
Can I have my money back for Duran Duran the other year where it pissed down and was a bit windy.
Think it’s the wind more than rain. I suppose they feel they can’t take the risk of anything collapsing and injuring the acts or staff. Shame for anyone all set to go.It’s like raaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnn………
From a selfish pov I'm glad it didn't happen last night. Commiserations to those with tickets for tonight.
There's barely a breeze, well for Lytham anyway and rain is an occupational hazard, daft decision.Wind
Simply Red performed in something tantamount to a hurricane when they played a few years back.!!Think it’s the wind more than rain. I suppose they feel they can’t take the risk of anything collapsing and injuring the acts or staff. Shame for anyone all set to go.
Well at least that's a positive. The Nobber potato boys lose outSpud Bros curse
Food shocker as @AllezBlackpool dismisses food content. Then againWell at least that's a positive. The Nobber potato boys lose out
To be fair, if I remember rightly, I’d like a refund for their shocking performance! What a crock of shite the wind is 22mph not 40 that's the gusts and rain.

"Poor customer judgement is not the fault of the vendor and does not constitute grounds for a refund."To be fair, if I remember rightly, I’d like a refund for their shocking performance!
I've been drenched and windswept at festivals for years when I was a bit younger.Wind and heavy rain aren’t a good combo around electricity. Especially on small stages
I very much doubt they called it off for no valid reason.
Have you never done a festival man?Had a ticket but glad it was cancelled. Couldn't be arsed in this rain.
I think the legendary pub band Shady played, their usual venue was the Star. Who could forget their version of Sunday Bloody Sunday!!!Anyone remember Fylde Aid 1985
Tarquin and Poppy can’t get rain in their G&TsI've been drenched and windswept at festivals for years when I was a bit younger.
I just don't get it? Is Lytham too posh?
Shady were awesome. Star and Belle Vue.I think the legendary pub band Shady played, their usual venue was the Star. Who could forget their version of Sunday Bloody Sunday!!!
The punters don't all live in FY8 most of them seem to head over here from Manchester, and loads of them then decide to stay here!I've been drenched and windswept at festivals for years when I was a bit younger.

Used to watch them at the Vic in Cleveleys, and the Belle Vue on a Sunday night, under age of course, justI think the legendary pub band Shady played, their usual venue was the Star. Who could forget their version of Sunday Bloody Sunday!!!
The Star for me, i think i would've been 17 or 18, never a night club fan but you could get the later hours in a big pub if you went to the The Star.Used to watch them at the Vic in Cleveleys, and the Belle Vue on a Sunday night, under age of course, just![]()
Yep, did the Star loads, think it was mainly Fantasia on a Friday night when I went in.The Star for me, i think i would've been 17 or 18, never a night club fan but you could get the later hours in a big pub if you went to the The Star.
They played The Vic at Cleveleys on Sundays great nights. They also played at the Lights switched on by Joanna LumleyShady were awesome. Star and Belle Vue.
The Star for me too, I was in my mid/late 20's though, used to come back on my weekends off, Saturday nights, loved the place, knew so many people in there. Shady were great and the Utter Gutter Band. They never let any male holidaymakers in but plenty of female ones!!The Star for me, i think i would've been 17 or 18, never a night club fan but you could get the later hours in a big pub if you went to the The Star.
The weather here as always is varied! Sounds like the middle of winter out there tonight!Gales and heavy rain?? We haven't had any rain here for over 2 months and temperatures in the high 20's, low 30's, it's relentless. It's like living in the Med.
the one that was supposed to be headlined by Section 25 ? And Half Man Half Biscuit on the bill ? Wasn't that 86 ?Anyone remember Fylde Aid 1985
Every year I do. Going to Simple Minds on Sunday but again if it raining, won't bother.Have you never done a festival man?
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps fallingEvery year I do. Going to Simple Minds on Sunday but again if it raining, won't bother.
Feel sorry for the organisers, artistes and fans but got absolutely no sympathy for those thieving robbing food and drink stall holders who charge extortionate prices!
The wind was the problem, not rain .Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down...
