M&S Building Sale?

I caught a quick glance of the front page of today's Gazette whilst in Home Bargains. Something about the Blackpool Marks & Spencer building being sold. I've just gone onto their website and...nothing. The headline story is about a rat infestation at a burger bar.

Anyone know what's happening?

I think the council is buying it.

“3m back in rent during the Remaining four year lease” suggests to me that the Council have bought the property from the freeholder (not M&S), subject to an existing lease (to M&S). I expect M&S to vacate in 4 years time.

Sad to see how it has declined. Used to be decent when on three floors but now it looks like a jumble sale
