Man C

It's a shame that it's behind closed doors and unlikely to be streamed. The team visiting Prescot next week (£5 advanced purchase) is likely to be our youth players.

Its good weve got this game, we do need it missing out on rangers were down 1.

Can't see it being one where we get all our strikers a goal each though 😄 but we can hope.

At their Academy Stadium. On City TV . Don't know if we can access that in some way.
An additional game has been added to Blackpool’s pre-season schedule, with the Seasiders to face Premier League champions Manchester City in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

The match against the five-time title winners, who also lifted their fourth successive Carabao Cup trophy last season, will take place at City’s Academy Stadium on Tuesday 3 August, kick-off 6pm.

On facing Pep Guardiola’s side, Neil Critchley said:

“There’s no better test than going to play against Manchester City. They’ll have top, top quality players playing and I’m sure our players and staff will be looking forward to it.

“We obviously lost the Rangers game from our pre-season so we could do with an extra game.

“It will be good to give the players some more minutes in their legs, and I’m sure they will feel it playing against Manchester City!”

Further details regarding the streaming of the fixture will be announced shortly.

I think well get it on tangerine TV?

Why didn’t we request it be played at Bloomfield? I hope we asked. Missed a trick and also a truckload of gate receipts

Don’t forget about Skill, quality and a touch of luck thrown in.

It’s about a bit more “competitive”pre season football rather than just on the training pitch. The fact it is behind close doors is irrelevant.

Why is it some on here think it should be anything other than that. All that ultimately matters is next Saturday and then the season itself.

and a lot of our supporters would be able to moan again about being ripped off with inflated ticket prices to play Premier League champions 😂. Don’t deserve it at Bloomfield Rd

Didn't City play Preston at the same place, also with no fans present?

Edited: just seen on the Manchester Evening News website. City also played Barnsley at their Academy Stadium, after taking the decision not to allow fans at any preseason games there.

Also, unfortunately for Blackpool, their players at both the Euros and Copa America should be available for this game. Which they weren't for the PNE and Barnsley games apparently.
