Man City Banned from Champions League

They will appeal, backhanders will be paid and it will be suspended or at most a one season ban....no way they will keep em out for 2 seasons

Or City could employ a high powered London firm of private investigators to unearth dirt on the EUFA decision makers. Only allow your phones to be hacked if you want to spread disinformation lads and lassies.

I’ve always hoped proper football regulation would follow a bloody good scrap between two parties with very deep pockets that brings the whole wobbly structure down.

I highly doubt that City will actually serve this ban, their lawyer team will somehow get them out of it.

Absolute baloney this FFP. Why shouldn’t owners pump money in if they want to. Just a ruse to ensure all the traditional clubs stay on the gravy train forever and no one can get on. Also how do Fleetwood keep within fair play rules? Don’t want them banned as they’ve just struck lucky getting a chairman who wants to invest and why shouldn’t he if he wants. Hopefully City will take it to the highest court going and get FFP thrown out permanently.

Memphis because if for example the saudis or the Russian government decided to buy a club then they could spend Billions every season and their team (Everton for instance) would win the league every year......how would that be good?

It's about time that the full weight of the FFP rules were actually brought against clubs who have broken those rules.
Every football fan knows that City have been financially doped for years now. There's no way their revenue
comes even close to what they've spent. And they're by no means the only club at it.
But as Blood says, they'll appeal and use the very best legal to team to somehow wriggle out of it.

UEFA are a joke, they did nothing about Real or Barca's insane spending that brought them European success. No doubt they'll try to find something on Liverpool next. They are as corrupt as FIFA in their favouring of Spanish teams.

Correctamundo, Newbury. I could add the Red Bull football teams. As well as RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig there are RB clubs in New York and Brazil. But of course, these teams did not dominate the European Cup last year as English clubs did. That’s at the root of it. EUFA did not like that and saw it as a worrying sign of the future. Yep... LFC next (dirty Yank money).

Real Madrid is effectively the Spanish government’s club, projecting their supposed superiority ever since Franco’s time. Whenever they need cash they get it, such as a decade or more ago when the government bought the RM training ground for an astronomical sum to allow RM to pay off vast debts that were threatening to bring down the club. That was before “FFP” though. Same with Barça. These are supposed to be members clubs, so apart from ticket/sponsor/member income what other investment is there? A lot which is hidden.

And the “establishment” clubs are dead set against newcomers upsetting their domination and income. But how else is a middling club like City to break out of their financial constraints to win the League without additional investment, given the money madness of the PL? Anyway, this will be resolved in the Int Court Arb in Sport, not by EUFA apparatchiks in the end. City will get a slap on the wrist.
