WERE MENTAL WERE BARMY WERE GRAHAM CARR'S ARMYGraham Carr. Blimey!
No he didn't!! Ball was sacked when we were in the third division, Sam Ellis was the Manager when we had to apply for re-election in 82/3,I think the late, great Alan Ball was one of the best players to ever play for BFC & for England; however, he was our only manager (as far as I'm aware) to take us to the bottom of the old 4th division! Fortunately, in those days the other chairmen voted for the bottom club to 'stay up' or 'go down' and they never voted against the bottom team - we survived the drop and poor Bally got the chop. What a player - he had the heart & lungs of a lion.
