Tonight i will be listening to Fleetwood / Blackpool on BBC Radio Lancs sport. No big deal but for fans who cannot get to or cannot always afford a ticket its a valuable service. i have been listening to Lancs sport for as long as i can remember. god forbid they cut this part of BBC local radio. the evening progrsmmes have long been replaced by a single evening show. BBC radio has been having to save money like anywhere else in the corporation. I will pay my tv licence because this is a part of my life which i consider invluable. I can go on my smartphone and pick up thousands of international radio progrrammes. people call for the BBC to be defunded . its a stupid argument. would i prefer shouty Talksport for sports coverage. no thanks. BBC local radio is a friend when someone doesnt have one or maybe a person going through difucult times. LONG may it continue.
