MCLF: Match blog - Burton Albion vs the Mighty

Good read - thank you. My MOM was marvellous Marv but there were some good performances out there. Madine looked knackered in the last ten minutes surprised he stayed on despite it being strangely the right decision by NC - if you know what I mean?

Yeah, there were little things there that were odd, like that and possibly Dougall staying on and Turton the same after he looked like he'd got a hamstring but I didn't want to pick up on them as it was a lot better all round.. Marvin was good, I agree.

Aye

Certainly deserved the win today particularly given the poor decisions of the ref and linesman. Madines character massively assists with him brazenly bantering with the burton dug out on him winning his only (non) foul and his nurturing nature towards the head injury. Really hope this is now the spring board with the aid of a straight talking no nonsense Scot on the sidelines. Onwards and upwards

Most of all, we've deserved that win, provided threat from the left, the right and down the middle. Ok, we've not looked like a side that will walk through the division, but we've looked like a team with some togetherness, awareness and ability to move the ball quickly.
Totally agree with that line. You can see there is a togetherness and the two things missing have been clarity in the way we are supposed to play and a bit of luck and confidence and yesterday we got both.

It was the variety. It's been boring watching the slow passing sideways game and yesterday we mixed it up and were thus, in my thinking any way, far more enjoyable to watch.

Reminiscent of many a goal when Keagan raced down the right side of the pitch then providing a perfect cross for the galloping Toshack to head home!
Great summary again td53, and we’ve all been in desperate need of some overwhelming pleasure of late, which was delivered yesterday! More of the same Pool, please!
