Leeds u/23s does count. I don't think we should play the "galacticos" but we want to win and progress.
It's an opportunity for the likes of Thorniley, Antwi, Sims/Fojticek and Howe all of whom have had very little game time.
It also generates income and a winning mentality if that is what we can do.

It doesn't. It's a bullshit game that shouldn't take place. I will be ignoring it.

For once I don't agree with you but you can't be right all of the time. 😄
What's wrong with the game time for fringe players, maybe even 1st years pro's from the youth team, the prize money and a trip to Wembley in the Spring when we've all had a vaccine?
I like the Papa John's Trophy. 👍

Well if we beat Dirty's u/23s there will be one less reason to dislike the competition.

Yeah, don't get me wrong I want us to stay in it - I've enjoyed the games so far. Just not going to dignify the ridiculous presence of Premier League reserve teams with my attention. If it were any other team in the country I'd be all over it. Nothing against Leeds per se. Just hate the notion of us playing the b teams.
 
I know what you mean about playing u23s, but if I were able to go, I'd be in the car on Wednesday night like a shot.

I expect us to have a younger side than them by the way...

It's not their youth or our youth. I just object to it. Especially when all the top level bosses are whining about too much football. Ffs, use your elite development plan players then, instead of packing them off to play us for no reason.
