not an attractive win, but the players had to dig deep and battle it out. Thought wintle had a good game without doing anything special, Dougall as well. Lavery ran his socks off, TJJ should have had a goal hey ho. Marv was a bit wasteful possession wise in the first half but second half returned to his "thou shalt not pass" and scored a strikers goal.

a few others weremt really on song but did enough. i do think there is one massive weak link in the side which is keogh, he slows play down when we are pushing forward, he disorganises the defence, he's slow and he gives the ball away. even though it was his little chip for the first goal.

you could criticise the first half performance but im not going to.

however i have to say, another shiite set of officials,
 
Yeah once we started to pass the ball thats where they can't live with us.

A passing move of quality led to the corner for the first.

Thats what we've been wanting to see more of.

Still areas to improve like Bowler once he got to the box has to pass sometimes and some of our shooting was poor this game.

But at least we're making some chances and a couple of goals from corners or second phase.

Well done all.
 
That was hard work watching the last 15min or so on ifollow, 2-3 min behind.. Ended up watching the scores on Paddy Power website as they were in front of even twitter,,

90+10 when he blew the whistle... 🥶😱

To be fair Wizz, not everything is rosy and on a forum it’s expected that fans share thoughts on team selection and formation. I feel we have a very strong and talented squad, but that we need to find the right formula that gets the absolute best from it. I don’t think NC is quite there yet, which for me is frustrating and exciting for the future.
 
With Marv along side he looks good. The reason he passes back or side ways is because the midfield don't make themselves available for the ball which was the same last season ( the midfield not Keogh obviously)

You're a well reasoned poster Costero so your comments about Keogh concern me. I was listening on Lancs and the pundit (Ayre?) tore him to pieces in the first half but was appreciative in the second.

I get that TT but it's the brake neck speed at which some supporters write us off.
A match is over 90 minutes and seeing as our team only play for 45 you're always going to get the D&G ers coming on at the earliest oppertunity
