Looks like the government is going to make an utter shambles of deciding what to do with the BBC. Interesting they only want to safeguard Radio 3 and Radio 4 (God help any of them who would reduce themselves to listening to 1Extra or 6Music) and make a subscription service to keep those channels exclusive to the high brow elite and sod the rest of the country .. they can listen to Capital (shudders at the thought!).
