Minutes of Tuesday's Structured Dialogue meeting

No, but they do expect to see a full game without, buffering, picture dropping etc. Would you be happy if you bought a ticket to watch the game and four 6ā€™6ā€ blokes stood in front of you and refused to sit down, no I thought not.
Go, mine does none of that. I get a full game without problems (slight problems on one game, nothing major). Again it is simple; plug laptop into TV via HDMI and on the settings bottom right select picture quality and change there if any problems.

It's not perfect, it's a bit like, in fact I'll recall a story of a Man Utd 'fan' at work who was going to see BFC v them in the old Lancs cup. I got a square cardboard box, cut out a big square in the front, penned in some dials on the inside and stuck it over his head. Just so he'd know what he was watching. Otherwise he'd be lost.

I pay for the games, so donā€™t include me in the dodgers. I donā€™t suffer from any of the problems in my post, I was merely quoting the problems some people have. If you read my initial post properly you would have seen I said itā€™s out of the control of the club. You probably didnā€™t read it properly because as usual you are to busy looking for someone to have a go at. Just grow up read posts as they are written and stop looking for an argument because you wonā€™t get one here. Ignore activated.
It wasn't intended as an attack on you I was more generalising to the amount of negativity in general about the service.
Apologies for it.

Apology accepted. I just saw my arris as it appeared to were insinuating I donā€™t pay, which I do. In the spirit of good relations I will also apologise for being too quick of the mark. Probably an age thing, or lockdown getting to me. Ignore deactivated.šŸ˜¬

How refreshing to have an owner who positively wants to communicate with the supporters. These Structural Dialogue Meetings are so informative. In all the many years I have supported the Seasiders there has never been anything to come close to this. There will be mistakes and hiccups along the journey but I have every confidence that the club has a bright future with Simon Sadler at the helm along with those he has appointed to administer the every day running of the club. Itā€™s definitely onwards and upwards and the future is definitely TANGERINE...UTMP...

It happens all the time šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

I donā€™t buy that Critchley and Calderwood were long planned first choices to take the club on from a period of ā€˜infightingā€™ but I do believe we can make it work now we have pulled the panic lever to bring in Calderwood.

biggest guffaw was BFC not having a good credit rating...theyā€™d knock their own mothers if it meant an extra bottle of Bollinger at Claridges.
They were referring to the longer term influence of the previous owners on the brand and their penchant for late payment.

A good point Wiz

I think people sometimes forget that SS is a pool fan just like everyone else .

Itā€™s costing him Ā£4-6 million a year to watch the games at the minute !!!!!
That's over and above what he'd budgeted for.

A key point omitted from the minutes was the Board's view on whether Rory McIlroy should have won more majors. They agreed he hasn't played to his potential and hopefully he'll put that rightšŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

It's nice you two sorted out your differences šŸ„°

Like Critchley he needs to stop going behind in the first quarter with slow starts and giving himself too much to do.

Well I thought that was a refreshing read. Proper content and some useful info.
Yes. Good question about the Director of Football role, or Sporting Director or whatever is trendy to call it now. Someone to be the brains of the football operation in the same way they've got someone focusing on making sure the commercial side pays it's way.

That was Simon Sadler's initial idea for the structure he wanted, and which now sounds like it might be under consideration again to pull together how the football side of the club should operate. Ben Mansford was quick to point out when he came in that he could do that and that it wasn't needed because he'd been a CEO and an agent but I think if it's a role that comes into play here then you're maybe not then looking for sticking plaster solutions after a season starts and things haven't gone as planned yet.

Some of our fans will be using the cheapest option for broadband, maybe still on dial up and they have the nerve to moan.

Thanks for this Steve. I put 3 questions to you and 2 were directly answered in those minutes and the third answered as part of an answer to someone elseā€™s question.
It proves that a constructive (and coherent) question is given the attention it deserves. I think a few are disappointed and thinking theyā€™re not being listened to using this manner of forum however Iā€™m proof thatā€™s not the case. Well done to all concerned. Please pass on my thanks and appreciation for the responses also.

I like the fact they are disappointed in the moaners, 4-6 million put in by a man that has tangerine blood, a new squad, new manager, new just about everything and everyone from the top down. From where we were under the odious ones we should all be rejoicing, although i suspect the vast majority are and can't wait to get back into the ground to do just that. Sit back, relax, show some patience, however long it takes The Pool Are On The Up

Some interesting stuff in there, a credit to those who've asked the better questions rather than asking about corner routines and tomato sauce like we've seen in the past.

One thing the club might help themselves with is if they were a bit more open, rather than if you don't ask we won't tell you. Little things like advertised roles being filled rather than a 'oh haven't you heard it's...' kind of thing on a few answers during a fans forum. People could be interested in another ex player like Matt Blinkhorn coming back into the club?

Sounds like a good session. Think fans dismissing other fans concerns is unhelpful . We are very lucky to have SS , but I think they should be more open. It sounds like it was all planned , and I do not believe that that for one minute.

Itā€™s results and performances that determine the mood of the vast majority of fans around any club. We arenā€™t some special group of zen fans that embrace failure and ineptitude. The shambolic start deserved approbation and changes and once changes were made things have improved. Thatā€™s how it works in reality ...where jumpers arenā€™t used for goalposts.

I like the fact that we've got a link with a local non-league club in Squires Gate. Would be good to have a similar link with AFC Blackpool too as a some of our fans went to watch them when we were boycotting and they play in tangerine!

Ha ha, just seen this. I deny. šŸ˜‘ The club minutes the meetings (previously done by either Dawn or Harry), which is as it should be, and posts the official version on its website, again as it should be - taking Structured Dialogue professionally and seriously.
Itā€™s great that this is happening. Well done SLO and all concerned!

Or you think logically, the whole squad and club changed from top to bottom, rational thinkers would expect it to take time to come together. The fact we have a wonderful
Custodian at least attempting to do the right things should be enough. We have no god given right to win games.

No but we expect best efforts to be made not to throw games away. Logically that means if itā€™s clearly not working you fix it. Which happened (finally) but has probably compromised our whole seasons prospects. Fans have every right to voice their opinions fully accepting we wonā€™t win every game.

Good innings this. Can someone let me know a week before the next one please?
