Now than back in March when the lockdowns were first announced (BBC1pm news headlines)

Quite a staggering fact that.

I wonder what the conspiracy theorists make of it all? or indeed who's fault it is when the Government announce further lockdowns at 3:30pm? Maybe their just making it all up?

Getting very worrying now. Feels like this winter our economy, and many individuals and businesses will be going to Hell in a hand cart.

The people who criticised the government for not locking down earlier back in March, are the very same people today resisting local lockdowns to slow the virus spreading. Bizarre !

The graph shows there were relatively few people in hospital in march with covid.
The peak was months later. Much more than now.

Peak admissions was 7th April, 3 weeks after March 16th measures, peak numbers in hospital was the 12th, 5 days later.

Peak transmission would have been in the days leading up to the 16th, there is approximately a 3 week lag between first exposure to the virus to hospital admission, thus this is exactly what you would expect to see.

It's not even remotely staggering?

Would wager a bet that a lot more people are dying of cancer and other illnesses at the moment than Covid. How many more will die during another lockdown?

Spot on, but we’re not allowed to discuss this.
