Morecambe stream

Not seen anything mentioned about a stream. I would imagine it’s whether Morecambe can be arsed and whether they think it’s worth it which I imagine a fair few Blackpool fans would pay a fiver to watch if offered.

I’m much more concerned about a stream NEXT Saturday. Eight days to go, and no definitive statement as yet from the Club of what is to be on offer ( if anything ) .

There's always IPTV if you can't make it.

Yes I know it's not right but I wouldn't be going long haul usually nowadays, plus officially I shouldn't be subscribing to Ttv using a VPN so I'm comfortable that I'm not depriving clubs of income.

Why would the game be streamed next Saturday 3pm?
Not allowed in the UK and plenty of channels abroad which show all Championship games.

If Saturday streaming is banned, what have ifollow been doing for the last few years, and they have been the official EFL streaming service ???

With the Morecambe on you would hope maybe of a late announcement of streaming, so it doesn't limit people from going but gives a large amount of people access to it at a small cost.

Tbh morecambe could have beenfitted from it too if agreed.

No fans in the ground Ifollow was allowed Saturdays before that it was only available Internationally on that day.
The games changed now being in the Championship when Sky hand over a minimum of 6/7 million a club why would they let someone else make money.

I wouldn't of thought the banning of live streaming matches on a Saturday includes friendly matches.

Would be great if the Morecambe v Pool match was streamed live on YouTube. Come on BFC give us a nice treat

This is the point Halifax, iptv would only work if the club streamed it or a broadcaster showed it - where do you think they get their pictures from?

I believe and practice if it’s available legally then you should always pay.

So where do I get it legally?

Just from BFC twitter

Unfortunately, there will be no live stream for this fixture, however a highlights package will be available to watch on Tangerine TV later that evening, with a full match replay the following day.

Its poor but presumably its the clubs were playing not allowing it?

Surely they could have done a revenue split or something on passes plus there would still be plenty going. 🤷

…as insider says.

we are waiting for the club to announce and if you can’t pay them - nobody is watching on TV!!

iptv generally just rips the club stream (or Sky if they ever show us) from their one paid account.
My comment was re next week. Assuming the rules re 3pm Saturdays are back in place then I'll use my IPTV.

We'll find out next week if there are any streams on IPTV for Saturday 3pm matches. My understanding is that there's a feed available to foreign broadcasters, which will be the same feed that sky take, so it should be available. The TangerineTV stuff is really put in under direction of Sky etc so that they have the infrastructure, camera positions etc all in place.

There will be no live stream for Morecambe according to the club - getting a bit peed off with this being an exile!! 👎

Makes no sense for those abroad not to be able to watch, but tbh even those in the country, its a friendly, people are still going to go to morecambe.

Could have made a lot more money from streaming and splitting the revenue if needed to get morecambe on board.

Says there will be a full match replay on Sunday. Surely there isn't already the rule about not showing live Saturday 3pm games, even in preseason.. seems like it.

There is no issue with broadcasting a live feed for a Saturday 3pm kick off if it’s a friendly. Why they are choosing not to I don’t know.
It’s strange - since the game is obviously being recorded - otherwise the full match wouldn’t be available tomorrow!

Bizarre really, surely if it was streamed live more people would buy it than people that wouldn't actually go to the game because it was being streamed?

Say it put 100 Blackpool fans off going to the game at £15 a ticket, I'm sure hundreds more would pay say £5 to watch it on TV with BFC splitting the profit.

Yep and if its morecambe and Carlisle being funny about it then I say we don't play them pre season if this how they act. Should have been a prerequisite of the game going ahead.

As I've said above you could easily have both a decent crowd there and a big revenue stream. Maybe announce it on the day about 12pm so many have already bought tickets.

Bizarre given more would be made the other way round.

I’m sure Morecambe and Carlisle want money through the gate and who can blame them? Pity they can’t geoblock it for us expats, but frankly more interested in them announcing details of international streaming for the season so I don’t have to give my money to other clubs!

One thing that has always confused me is why are English that live abroad expats but foreigners that live in England are immigrants?

The technical answer is that ‘expats’ are there temporarily while ‘immigrants’ are gone for good … actually one of the legal definitions is about where you want to be buried. I want my ashes blasted into space, so not sure what that makes me 😳

So by that definition it should be quite flexible in usage of the two words. Therefore, expat should be used for those non-Brits who live in the UK temporarily, which happens. And those Brits who choose to live and stay in other countries, of which there are many, should be called immigrants.

Being blasted into space is interesting! Maybe a spaceist... 😀
