Most overrated band ever...

The Beatles overrated, SERIOUSLY, the whole world has loved their music for almost 60 years. Albums such as Sgt Pepper, Abbey road and the White album are considered amongst the best and all their albums take pride in my collection. The most overrated band to me are the Ramones-i know people who love them but to me they are crap.

There are quite a few bands I don't like but I can understand why other people do like them. However I have got to say Oasis are hugely derivative, ripping off tunes and riffs from other bands.

I must be near deaths door- the Simple minds i have seen at least 6 times. My favourites bands getting some stick.

Oasis or the Beatles for me.
Yes The Beatles, I have to agree. I mean, apart from being the biggest selling recording artists ever, having the most No. 1s ever, cracking open the American market for British artists, being the only recording act ever to have the top 5 places in the Billboard top 100 chart, being the only act to have more than 3 Christmas No. 1s in the UK (4), being the only band in which every member has had a solo US No. 1 and which has had 3 members achieve a UK solo No. 1, being responsible for reinventing the way that recording studios are used, introducing the concept of holding concerts in sports stadiums (and rooftops), being the first artists to turn an LP into a distinct concept - as opposed to simply a collection of songs, being the only artists to date to have a number 1 single three times with the same song (I stand to be corrected on this one), and to have written and recorded the song most covered by other recording artists (apart from Happy Birthday) in the world.
Apart from that - yeah, crap.

Take That
Oh and just for the annoying voice, The Lighthouse Family
The Lighthouse Family had to be rated by someone in the first place to qualify. Surely nobody.....

Actually it was testament to my agility that when someone on the radio said 'and now the LF with...' I was so quick to switch the radio that I don't know any of their songs bar Ocean Drive and Lifted (is that theirs?).

Luther Van Dross
George Benson
Mad On her (actually she did do Borderline back in 84 or 86 which was good). There's a song around at the moment that sounds a bit like Mad on her if she had decent material and the rest.

Elbow for me. Just found them a bit magnolia and ‘middle class dinner parties’.

Not a band but cannot stand Robbie Williams too.

While I’m at it, definitely not a band or even a musician but Michael McIntyre (comedic version of Elbow)
I'm not big on Robbie Williams' music but he does do a very professional show.

Wow, the Beatles, the smiths and joy division barely made a bad song imo..
Proper shites like u2, pet shop boys, celine dion lighthouse family and aqua..🤣

I can't ** stand Guy 'on every bloody Radio 6 show' Garvey.

Oasis were massively overrated by some, but equally, probably underrated by others. A marmite band in that ‘musicians’ saw right through it from the first bars of Supersonic, and ‘non-musicians’ were more than happy to go along for a lager louty shouty mad for it ride.

To his credit, Noel churned out singalong hits and his kid bro put on a good show. Those albums haven’t aged well but there’s still a certain cathartic guilty pleasure there.

Definitely maybe overrated

One for all you oldies saw Limmie and the Family cooking live at Casino on Isle of Man back in the early 70s they were the worst live band ever
