My only worry....

Today was a lot better. Far from perfect but definitely a step in the right direction.

Ronan and Dewsbury-Hall both, quite rightly, getting the plaudits. My only worry is that neither of them are OUR players. Same with the centre back pairing of Moore and Henneghan. The entire spine of our team today was made up of loanees. Can’t help but think we’re just papering over the cracks.

Bola, Moore, Henneghan, Ronan, Dewsbury-Hall. That’s half the team

It will get us through to the end of the season. In the summer I am expecting some major investment in the playing squad.
Hopefully then we'll have these players or players of their ilk on out books for good.

The club did not have enough time on and off the pitch to put together a decent squad, i'll give them a pass for that. Summer 2020 however needs to be a different story.

We are also likely to lose Gnands in the summer too. If we don't get to keep any of those players to sign and we are unlikely to get the 2 PL lads or Moore then we are going to be starting from scratch again as the players we had prior to those joining haven't really been up to the job. It all seems disjointed to me and I worry about the way we are getting the right players who are actually our players.

Fully agree with what you said there Rekts. SG & SS both know what they need to do in the summer and are no doubt looking now through the scouting system. Have faith all👍

It made sense to get in loan players as the January transfer window has never been a good place to get permanent signings
Hope this will be addressed in the summer.

I agree. These loan players are showing us the standards we have to aim for if we are to progress to the Championship. We, that is the players, the management, and the fans, need to learn from them.

Don't see the issue third division club loan a player who can't get in a prem side and is better than what we have.
It's not like it hasn't happened before and next season when we are still in the same league use the loan market in your favour again.

I suppose the way to look at it is that this season was always a transitionary one and in many ways the sooner we reach mid-table the better as it will concentrate Simon Grayson's mind on looking ahead to next season. If these loan players are the level of talent that the scouting team are looking for then we should have plenty of reasons to look forward to next season.
