My Trip to The Supermarket just an observation.

Blimey - that took you a while!

But if you’re starting a “Young People Wearing Masks Matters” Campaign, I’d probably respond with a “All People Wearing Masks Matters” counter campaign. 👍

Most current evidence suggests the upsurge of infections is likely down to higher rates of transmission amongst younger people.
Do you disagree?
I accept the wearing of masks is a more recent phenomenon.
Surely youngsters with agile minds should be quicker to respond to newer guidelines than the older folk who are far more likely to be stuck in their ways & may be suffering from early onset dementia!

Simple Q

Should young people be responsible & wear masks or not Mex?

* Or do they not need to because of Dominic Cummings, High property pricems or the state of World they are gonna inherit?

* These are Just some of the frankly rabsurd & rather laughable responses put out by the self proclaimed 'intellegencia' on this thread 🤣 .

No disrespect.
Wooooah there Lesley.... Don’t start putting words in people’s mouths.

The issues with property prices and the state of the world was being made in response to accusations that kids are being selfish and older people feeling they have the right to start pointing the finger of blame.

The point being that we can all shift blame and act selfishly. And, to be frank, it’s no more selfish for older people to expect our youth to put their careers, education and futures on hold, to inherit an economic and potential future health timebomb in order to save a few lives, than for the youth to choose to live life to the full. Essentially they may well be giving up years of their own ‘life expectancy’ to save the potentially limited lives of others.

Well you’d be better off having a pop at 20s to be honest.

Ok. I’ll do it for you.

Oi 20s. We need one of your droning broken records about Cat/Never posts on the Footie Forum/and I can’t immediately recall your other obsession.

Please oblige. Thx.

There’s a very obvious pattern emerging tbh, hence the Noel Gallagher link.

I was in a local motor spares shop today, purchasing one of those 13 pin type adapters for my trailer electrics.

Yet again a 45ish year old bloke. Bit of a flashy, tan man, oil slick hair type. Shit white trainers and lower leg tattoo. Very similar profile to yesterday’s B&Q offenders.

So are we coming to some kind of consensus?
Twats dont wear Masks!! 😄

I went to the supermarket yesterday and today. Interesting that on both occasions I had to queue to get in and around 50% of shoppers were 70+ years old. Clearly none of them can shop during the week.

Boomers, on the whole, enjoyed free higher education, jobs for life, good salaries with inflationary rises, final salary pension schemes and houses that cost 2-3 times an average salary. They then sat back whilst free education was scrapped and employers scaled back on job security, pay and pensions on the assurance that they kept their privileges and then a lot of them bought up all the homes as investments whilst the government ensured insufficient new homes were built in order to ensure massive housing inflation.

The younger generation have been royally fucked over and I say that as someone who, not a boomer, has enjoyed a lot of the things I refer to and am incensed that our children cannot enjoy the same because it’s all been stolen from them whilst loads sat back, looked after themselves and now say they worked hard to get what they have.
And voted for the Governments who made that happen.

95% mask compliance at the ground yesterday. The exceptions were old blokes on sticks who also ignored the one way system and instructions from stewards about leaving by row.

In Asda yesterday, the one exception was an old woman who took off her mask so she could cough unfettered. You couldn't make it up.

Update TONIGHT I WENT TO THE PUB WITH ONE FRIEND.

Just My Observation.

It was the first time i had been in one for months & although apprehensive i enjoyed it.
The pub staff were good all wearing masks etc & it was really nice to see my friend who i hadnt seen since march.
For the majority of the evening we sat outside at a table well away from from others.
Went inside later for food but again our table was well away from anyone,

Observation a few family.s. couples etc.
However it must be said quite a lot of mainly younger folks in groups of four or more.
One situation where there must have been 8 or 9 together.

I totally understand people want to go out and enjoy themselves especially youngsters.
However i purposely made the decision there would be only 2 in our 'group' & we were sensible & kept a distance..

Just my observation but larger groups of mainly younger folk not from the same household, making little effort to distance are likely a major cause for concern.

Thoughts?

My thoughts for what they are worth. Anyone who spends any time inside a pub or restaurant at the moment needs their head seeing to.

Just to confirm that I have been attending pubs - perhaps that should be pub - and restaurants and to give more weight to your thoughts.

Keep up your good work with the masks but you'd get more marks for periodic summaries and perhaps reports and conclusions on your findings.

If you want to add me to your survey, I don't like wearing a mask and would prefer not to do so but for the little time that I'm actually required to wear one I find it easier just to do so than to complain about human rights.

I am not sure that I wear my mask properly and probably fall into your category of those who are doing more harm than good, perhaps you could arrange a tutorial advising on how to wear masks properly, after you have finished drawing up your statistics on offenders.

For what it's worth, I have no problem with your general views on all things covid but I find myself very surprised at many of your views.

Keep up the good work, all you need is a nice high vis jacket and you'd make a bloody good Covid Marshall.

I'd say at the moment, so long as you pay attention to SD, and depending upon locality, it's probably okay.

Quite why you'd bother, unless it's p***ing it down with rain is another matter.

I’m seeing more and more people not wearing masks where I work, it’s spread from the 20/40 age group into 40/50. Where the excuses were, I’m exempt, I have asthma, I have breathing difficulties; it’s now I don’t have one, I don’t need one, they don’t work. Blokes claiming asthma seem to see it as a badge of honour, I see it as putting everyone else at risk, as well as themselves.
