Hi Jane. I have been following Lee Charles for years and I always ask how you are. Great to see you are on here also. Just spent the last 2 hours reading your vlogs and I must say a fantastic read. I must try these micropubs. I give them one chance in Manchester a few years back and the beer in the marble arch was awful. I had 6 pints of some stuff called woberly bob and I was rough for days. Lol. Anyway you take care and keep up the writing. I will certainly be reading.

Hi. Ah that's great you have been enjoying my blogs. I enjoy writing them and it's always good to know they are being enjoyed and not disappearing into the ether haha! I'd probably be rough for days after six pints! I have written a series on Manchester pubs on my blog if you haven't spotted that? Worked my way around all the Good Beer Guide Pubs. Plenty more to explore so the series will continue! Thanks again for reading.

I have read the manchester ones but they are all pubs that I would avoid as they mostly come across as hipster bars. Where you watched the gig on Oldham street that used to be my local Guilivers as that was a big united pub. I need to open my mind and try more of them. I love the old Joseph holts pubs and their are many of them in Manchester. I suggest you try the old monkey. But again Jane thank you for the reply and the enjoyment I got from reading the vlogs. I'm going to finish the rest tonight with my feet up and a cup of hot chocolate. You take care.

I do prefer the traditional old school pubs. Have you been in City Arms? It's small and it gets busy but I do like it. I like Gullivers and they have surprisingly good beer. I have passed the Old Monkey but not been in yet so I will try that one. Hope you enjoyed the reading and hot chocolate - sounds good to me.

I have Jane I'm now 50..The City arms used to be full of trouble but obviously changed. I worked the doors of manchester so I know how dangerous places can be. It seems though the last 10 years the city itself seems to be more of a safer place to visit. You need to write a book on my experiences it would be a best seller. Lol... Why did I put lol. I hate lol.
 
Ooh! that stair carpet, not recommended, particularly for those with poor eyesight or any form of dementia who will be unable to detect the edges.

I would wager that someone will either fall up them or down them, and not due to drinking.

Keep 'em coming Jane always an interesting read,and sitting with you at Lincoln took the edge off the score a little.
 
I had an idea Jane. I love reading as keeps the brain cells active. But why don't you do your own video vlog like you do with Lee Charles TV. There is deffinatly a space in the market for that. It might even encourage more lady's to go out on their own as sometimes I recon it could seem slightly overwhelming.

I have thought about that but I don't really like being on camera after a few drinks! I also like the incognito 'mystery guest' element of my visits, seeing pubs as they are. That said, it might get me a few more free drinks haha!
 
Absolutly fantastic read again Jane. I'm sat in the hotel in Miami reading over breakfast. I'm going to the Dolfins game tonight been on my bucket list for ages. I did mention previous do a video vlog. Well changed my mind in no uncertain terms, never do a video vlog. Haha. I need to get back into reading and have become lazy and just watch the dross on YouTube. I find reading this wakes up my brain and gives me ideas to visit when back home. You carry this on as personally it's giving myself great enjoyment. Thank you.
