I sympathise with your Sony Carey conversation drier. At the BST AGM one of the BFC directors came over to me and called me by my name. He then said that he used to live over the road from me twenty years ago. Now, I could well remember the street but couldn't place him. So I blurted out, "what's your name?" "Ben," he said. Talk about embarrassing!

PS. I take it Christmas day was a red day?

PPS. They were capers...no doubt about it.

So Lee isn't quite the super fan we all thought. A super fan would have recognised and spotted Carey across the pub.

There’s always at least one in my pocket but I haven’t eaten one for a couple of months for diet reasons. I do realise I need to start again as this clearly doesn’t work…

It got worse at Huddersfield .

Oh that’s funny about Ben Mansford . Life would be so much easier if people wore name badges, wouldn’t it?

It was a flexi syn day so basically I can eat/drink things I avoid on regular days. It’s how I get away with all that beer on away missions!

Ah capers - thank you! Thought as much but they tasted so pickly so I wasn’t sure.

We don’t get that close to the players to recognise their faces though - especially these days when you’re so far away from the pitch you can barely read the names/numbers on the shirts. I used to know them all from their pics in the Gazette. Guess we need to watch more TangerineTV to familiarise ourselves with what they look like!
