New Kit Design

Peterborough also signed a 3 year deal with Puma and released their new kit earlier tonight. Seems to have gone down well with their fans and is a fairly simple design (traditional blue with white sleeves) but utilised a geometric pattern with flashes of white in the main body of colour.
I’m expecting something very similar for the Blackpool kit - only Tangerine instead of Blue.
If we end up with something a little more creative and have a custom design I’ll be very pleased but the Peterborough shirt is an indication of what to expect. Simple and tidy but perhaps not a collectors item for the future!

I’m a little underwhelmed if that’s the case, truth be known,
I simply hate the thought of a heat transferred club badge....I want an embroidered one.
Bad enough sponsors logos peel and crack after a handful of washes, without the club crest doing the very same.

And while I’m having a moan ,I’m not overly keen on patterned geometric designs neither.

Think my little boy is destined to wear his hand me down Carlisle Utd shirts from his older cousin as that’s also a cheap looking purple third strip with tacky transfers.

Really? PMSL! That's a proper hissy fit.

My little lad is 2. I'll get him the kit. It doesn't matter what it looks like to grown ups.

it was only a week or so ago I was laughing with my brother in law ( when they sent the bundle of hand me down clothes over and i found the shirt amongst the pile ) just how tacky the Carlisle Utd top looked with it’s cheap and nasty transfers.
Told my boy just don’t kiss the badge son....the transfer will come off on your lips.

Might just be me but an embroidered badge is a.must 🤞

Just seen the Posh kit and the prices 😬

Have to agree, if ours is similar, which it most probably will be, I would be very underwhelmed. Adults shirts £45, kids £34, to get the full kit for a child its £64 😯 even a 'mini kit' is £35.

I agree, definitely expect decent quality with an embroidered badge, especially at those prices. It would be a shame to get a well known kit manufacturer for a change and end up with a cheap product, can't imagine us being any different to Peterborough though.

Just had a look at Peterborough puma kit. Not a fan. Maybe the colour doesn't do it any favours and it will look better in real life but it doesn't float my boat.
Hopefully ours will be different as I don't wanna see white sleeves.
Still like has been said above, ill still get my lad one regardless

I can’t see us having white sleeves - that’s a traditional PUFC design so that’s probably just for them. I think as long as they get the right shade of tangerine and don’t go orange like some have in the past... it will look good.
Puma do kit for some of the biggest clubs in the world, Dortmund, Marseille, Man City etc. They do plenty of other top division clubs across Europe so whilst we’re not keen on ‘transfers’ I’m confident their transfers will be better than what we’ve had in the past ! Sometimes I’ve found embroidery can ruin shirts as cheap ones become misshapen and deform - pulling the shirt around it into weird shapes.
The transfer (sponsors) on this seasons kit was good, so I’ve no reason to think Pumas will be any worse. The pricing doesn’t seem so bad as far as I can see either. Prem kits are £65 + so £45 seems fair.

Please. Let's not have any moaning at the price. Blackpool shirts have been £40 every year for the last 25 years. BFC has never had a premium kit supplier. I know we had Umbro in the late seventies/eighties but it wasn't a commercially available thing.
I remember once asking KO why we couldn't have a decent supplier such as Adidas. He replied that we wouldn't be able to sell enough shirts to satisfy the manufacturer.
I then pointed out that Adidas supplied Crewe (among other lower league clubs), he genuinely had no answer, as usual!!!!
If the shirt isn't to some people's taste, there's bound to be some cracking polo shirts, training shirts in the training range that Puma will supply. We should all be made up that our club feels like a proper football club, for the first time in the modern era. I'm excited about it!!!!!!

Cant wait to get ours. Think it’s going to be next year before fans can return as Oliver Dowden culture secretary has hinted this morning that it could be next year before theatres etc can reopen and have given arts and theatre 1.5 billion to see them through for now. Hope we’re back this year at some point though.

Looks somewhat ‘snug’ and seemingly xxxl is largest sizing... I hope they get plenty of the larger sizes in stock !

The transfer is not likely to be as bad as the wonga logo. Not too fussed about embroidery to be honest!

A decent transfer is better than crap embroidery.

But if it is a transfer, please let it be multi coloured.
To me, shirts with single colour club badges look like cheap knockoffs.
Like this.

Theatres indoors with a limited capacity. Football outside and frequently only half full at League One level. Different risk level.

The badge on the 18 second promo looks embroidered to me. As others have said it's incredible to the long suffering fans that a kit supplier of Puma's quality is associated with us. There has got to be some cracking merchandise due in the club shop to suit us all very soon. Up the pool. 👊

Any bigger than XXXL and it's a tarpaulin not a footy shirt!!!
Only relatively slim people should attempt to wear a football shirt.
Some of us like to wear it over a hoody or shirt. Some like it not skintight. Some like to wear it regardless of size and aren’t so self conscious they dictate what others should and shouldn’t wear...
Some of us can satisfy our partners too ;)

A few things:

1 hope it's unique to us, not just a change of colour.

2 I prefer embroidered

3 if it is to be printed, I agree it needs to be multi coloured

4 I hope they do it in very big sizes. I'd quite like a "long" version as well as at 195cm tall, most clothes don't come in the right length.

5. I'm guessing they go with 3 kits, tangerine and white, white and tangerine and a wild card where they can be expressive (my son says PUMA do interesting). It would keep everybody happy. I'm going for a yellow one like we had late 80's I think.

6. My boss will want one of each this time. It's going to cost a lot.

7. Come on Blackpool!

Wow!!! That escalated. I'm sure your partner appreciates your sexual prowess.
Is he a big fella too.????

Tbf it does come over somewhat snappy. Not sure saying football shirts are for the relatively slim or that anyone wanting over xxxl is wearing a tarpaulin is ok though. All fans should be able to support the club however they see fit. Comments like that may make them feel ashamed to do so which isn’t that helpful for the club.
I’m usually a XXL myself. Found the Errea shirts far too small and the xxxl was too tight to go over anything other than another t-shirt. Hoping the Puma ones are a better fit - but feedback tends to suggest otherwise. XXXL may not be big enough for some who want to show their colours on a colder day.

Any my sexual prowess is very much appreciated but perhaps this is not the place to brag. The wives and girlfriends (and boyfriends) of AVFTT may get envious

Interesting discussion on kits on this week’s Price of Football podcast, with particular reference to Puma. Upshot: manufacturers spend their money on deals with clubs, not manufacturing; it will be based on a template from another club or national team, with different coloured yarn. Interesting on Wigwam as well. Have a listen

Have you thought of wearing a scarf?
One size fits all😁

If you are allowed to drink in the street In London and lay on a beach in Bournemouth packed like sardines then outdoors at Bloomfield surely is no different?

yeah looks like that isometric pattern is PUMA's generic design for 2020, they were even gonna use it for Soccer Aid this year before it got canned.

Valencia away could be a sign of things to come.

I quite like that Valencia kit. It's probably more tangerine than 'vibrant orange too' ! Not a fan of the mono-tone club crest though. The monotone crest seems to be a favourite for away kits but hopefully we avoid that. As for the pattern i'm OK with it however I quite like the flecks of white in the pattern like in the Peterborough kit as opposed to the burnt orange in the Valencia one. The 'bigger clubs' (Dortmund, Man City, Marseille) all seem to get a custom pattern as opposed to the pattern Puma seems to use on most shirts. I can't see us getting a custom one ourselves but would absolutely love a Blackpool specific pattern in the future - would really make it a special kit.

From the teaser on the BFC site is it safe to assume that, (a) they'll stick to an embroidered crest and (b) they're sticking with Visit Blackpool as sponsor?

I don't think that's the actual shirt. More of a hastily put together presentation. Seems to me that the 'puma' logo isn't actually on a shirt at all and that it's essentially just last seasons shirt for the purposes of the video. In the current climate I expect the club will be after an actual sponsor too.

This badge is embroidered, so pool top with a tower embroidered badge? That would be epic
Should use the tower logo on the away shirt and that shirt should be white with Tangerine trim .👍

As long as they avoid the sort of tosspottery Chelsea/Nike have come up with to describe their new away kit......🙄🤣4107800A-7B02-4A38-8248-5438A2AB6B1C.jpeg
