New Sky EFL Coverage

Slight amendment....it was originally 2.00pm, which would give working people time to get home, get their dinner and get out again to go to the match. It changed to 3.00pm when floodlights became widely used.
Far be it from me to doubt what you've said 66 but I 've looked at the Football programmes I have from the 20s and 30s and none
show a ko of 2pm , most are 3pm , 3.15pm . I don't think floodlit league football started until the mid 50s and post war Blackpool never
had 2pm kos even in mid winter. Kick off times varied between 2.15 and 3pm depending upon the time of year until floodlights came to BR
in 1958.

No, I will happily give way. I'm just posting what my dad told me when I was a young lad.

Edit: the 2.00pm favoured time is confirmed as a winter start time on the Rangers message board followfollow. Given that my dad's a Scot that may well be what he was remembering.

All this added to the no replays in the FA Cup, add up to only one thing in my book. Sod the fans, sod the smaller clubs, hail the money grabbing premier league, hail the filthy lucre, the end of football as we now know it, football crowds to be replaced by the never get off my arse and sit with a beer in front of the telly guy.

Ah well, it was good whist it lasted and I have plenty of great and not so great memories from being a proper supporter. It will now be a case of stuff Sky Sports, stuff televised games and find something else to do, like watching a local amateur club, who still play the game as it was meant to be. At least there will be some atmosphere.

Be careful with your firesticks, I've read that the police are to clamp down on illegal use.
How? I don't know, it will be a lot of work for them!
As if how about starting with the people who sell them for a start?
It's millescie the amount who've been prosecuted by our useless Police force(not officer's).

Not a single home user has ever been fined for using the system, it reminds me of years ago when we all copied music or videos which was Illegal and no one punished.

Having a Firestick isn't Illegal just the software downloaded on to it good luck with the Old Bill with that one
