Dramas that can get you to feel the full range of emotions are special. Invested in the characters and like you gutted it ended
 
Unforgivable BBC iplayer. A very deep Jimmy McGovern one off. Anna Friel, Mark Womack and many others you would recognise star.
It’s very good, but don’t expect it to lift your mood.
 
Not usually into any celeb stuff, but that “Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters” on ITV has been most entertaining.
Especially liked tonight’s episode 3 swimming with the great hammerhead sharks. 🏊 🦈
Need to watch it from the beginning to see their gradual progression.
 
Appreciated the retro vibe of the new Superman and Fantastic Four movies.
Great casting in both. Felt more connected with the family elements of the characters.

I have not but apparently there is a new Alien series coming out. It’s called Alien:Earth and is a prequel to the original Ridley Scott film.

Also film wise I most recently watched The Outrun. Bit dark but I’d recommend if you like a human story with a bit of drama.
 
Agree about Mix Tape, a very good series ( BBC I Player)

Just finished the latest version of The Count of Monte Cristo.(U Drama channel). Another very good watch.

The missus likes Strictly. I see Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has just been announced as one of the contestants. Wonder how he'll manage to get the Blackpool weekend postponed:)

Bit far fetched to get where they are,,,,but it's getting very interesting with the Gemini killer(s)
 
The Morning Show with Jennifer Anniston and Reece Witherspoon on Apple TV.
3 seasons, half way through the first. Not bad really, a soap/drama that so far addresses #metoo in an open minded, balanced way.

I have 20’s, yes I enjoyed it. More the music than the love story, I’m a bit of a cynical romantic 🤨
Good acting and enjoyable, yes.

Watched The Life Of Chuck last night
It's definitely not what I was expecting and I'm still trying to work out if this was a masterpiece of a movie or complete schmaltz.....
The story is out of order and everything that happens has a meaning.
Found out at the end, that it's a short story from Stephen King.....which explains the look of horror on Luke Skywalkers face when he looks inside the door
You will either love this....or hate it for being sentimental.........but (for me) it's one of the best and most thought provoking movies of 2025
Still thinking about the story 24 hours afterwards......and I'm definitely going to watch it again on Saturday
Tom Hiddleston is brilliant and his dance is going to become a movie moment of the year......give it a go......999% better than War of the Worlds

1st episode was very good.
