New What we all watching / recommendations thread?

Yellowjackets was good. Would have preferred a bit more Lord of the Flies esq scenes.
Set up nicely for Season 2.

I can’t be the only one who has watched the new Chucky series? Like a trip back to the late Eighties. Fan service done well.

New series of Formula 1: Drive To Survive on Netflix.

Still annoyed at last season so watching this isn't helping.

The path to redemption begins next Saturday. 🏁

The Ipcress file was an absolute joy of 60’s nostalgia both in terms of acting and filming. Homage to the film is there for fans but enough changes to keep you guessing.

Start Up on Netflix is very good.

Also watching Killing Eve as i feel compelled to see it through but this series is awful.

This Is Us is great but pretty depressing at the same time. Stopped midway through season 2 as wasn't the most cheery of shows to watch during lockdown. Might pick it back up again
Just started this based on the heads up.

👍

Also just started The Kominski Method, easy watching with a very good cast, Inc cameos, e.g. Danny De Vito as the urologist. 😄

Started to watch Coronation street, a tale of everyday folk in some Northern backwater, been watching solid for the past two weeks, only another ten thousand episodes to go. I think it’s building up to a spectacular finale with a plot twist. No spoilers please!

We have been watching Severance and have absolutely loved it. It won't be for everyone, very strange, a bit unnerving but we have really been enjoying it.

Also watched CODA at the weekend, that was absolutely brilliant and well worthy of the Oscar for best picture, heartfelt, feel good and just a joy.

At the moment we're ploughing our way through "Inventing Anna." Bit of a chickflick but comical in parts. Probably a bit too long at nine hour-long episodes.
Can't recommend too highly the All4 "Walter Presents" as long as you like subtitles. Some really good foreign language series which far outstrip some of the output of our own broadcasters.

When you've finished that, try one called Emmerdale Farm, its about a farm in Yorkshire. Without spoiling it for you though, about 30yrs ago I think they dropped the Farm bit .

Just watched the last episode of Peacemaker which was actually really good. Big fan of the Suicide Squad movie and this spin off is very very violent and very very funny but really well done. If you like this sort of thing it's well worth a watch.
Well you’ve seen more than me. I’ve just started it. Been a blast so far. 🦸‍♂️ 🦅

Added ‘The Boys’ to my list of things to watch while I’m still on Amazon Prime.

Flight Attendant 2 is out soon on NowTV. Hope it’s as good as series 1.

Winning time - about the rise of the LA lakers and Magic Johnson starring John C Reilly as the maverick owner who buys them and turns them into a billion dollar outfit. Simon Sadler could pick up a few tips!!!!!

Slow Horses on Apple TV.......It's the best series I have seen this year......10/10 Cant rate it highly enough....First 3 episodes have been great.

Snowfall (series 5) has been very good......It's improving every episode.....
Picard.....The return of the Borg queen......silly & fun
The Dropout.......&.....WeCrashed are good but heavy going

Trying to stick with From, Moon Knight, Picard & Halo......but all a bit Mah!!!!

Tokyo Vice is a new Michael Mann series......again, it's tough going but it's worth seeing where it goes from episode 3.
Better Call Saul starts the last series in the US next Tuesday........Jessie & Walter to make an appearance..

I really enjoyed Reacher and the last 2 episodes were really good.

All of us are dead is really good too, lots of action but you do get to feel for the characters, only done 8 sofas but it has been a good zombie fest, much better than the Walking Dead.

I am going to start 1883, love Westerns and this looks the business, I watched all the Deadwood episodes a few months ago and the movie and that was absolutely superb.

The Righteous Gemstones looks good too, which is on Sky, I will be checking that out soo
We started 'This is Us' on Disney+ and are a bit obsessed - three series of the six watched in the last month!
try Dave on iplayer

Just watched all 3 series of The Split bbc iplayer.

Possibly more of a female type production but very well acted and very well written.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, despite blubbering at parts.
