Next Target?

Well with Robinson ruling himself out who is next on list?
Evatt or Wellens for me. Just please not Heckingbottom!
A guy called Grayson looking for a job 🤣

I'm hoping/praying there are people on Mansford's list that don't appear on the betting lists I've seen.

I would imagine that there are plenty on the list of people who Mr Mansford would like to speak to, but just because they’re being looked at doesn’t mean that they have been offered the job .

I don't really think there is anyone currently unemployed who stands out as being a fit for what BM is apparently aiming for.

Anyone up in Scotland currently pulling up trees that we may be realistically interested in?

If I had to guess, I'd say whoever we go for next will be either a decorated young coach working in the Premier League (Rusk or similar), or will be a foreigner who has never worked in this country - both of which will fit the Head Coach role instead of the traditional manager position.

Are we becoming a laughingstock here
jones not happening one way or another , told pool not interested in evatt , Robinson says no , Wellens says no , or both approaches rejected

how many more are we going for here
if really interested in one guy , then put all your eggs in one basket and go for him
why is it other clubs can do this , hound and hound and eventually the clubs agree

I am now worried we get someone who is 8th choice , and be a desperate appointment

if you really want someone or something you go out of your way to get it , money no object
my opinion thou lol

I think he would bring a lot of plusses.
He wants to be here, he has a affinity with The Club,
He likes to play passing football and players to press the opposition.
Yes he hasn't yet got League experience managing.
But let's hope he is given a chance with us.

I’d still take a chance on Evatt, unproven yes but he’s somebody who loves the club and the fans love him. Be a great character to have in charge and if you listen to some of his recent interviews about his playing/management style it fills you with confidence

If it remains the case that neither Jones and Robinson are interested the Board really should consider Evatt's CV

Yes he's unproven in the League but someone with his character and approach to the game is just what we need

Any manager is a risk at the end of the day - I'd say this a risk worth taking

Matt Scrafton is adamant it won't be happening:

Which makes you wonder where all this is going to end up?

Mark Robins is managing a team that is highly likely to get automatic promotion. The fans love him and he loves the club. Good luck with that!

Totally agree , but with the rumours about who pool are going after , thought why not
Ipswich watch out , especially paul Lambert , we might arrest him , to be pools new manger after the match on Saturday 🤪😜

Agree! Wrong time of the season to be approaching managers, especially who are contracted to clubs verging on promotion. Bide our time.

Also agree, the problem now is that both Robinson and Wellens have either been rewarded with longer contracts or promises of team strengthening. Even when the season finishes neither will be leaving even if they fail to gain promotion for their clubs.
Whether you like it or not, even though he said he doesn't want the job we may have the manager right under our noses. At least he's got the team playing better
Not for me but you never know

Robbie Neilsen from Dundee Utd. Only 39 and they are storming the league.
What makes fans confident we can get managers from other clubs?
Tried with Robison and failed, Wellens clear he doesn’t want to come here by signing a new contract, Jones happy to stay on the dole. 🙄

If they want someone with League experience, how about David Artell at Crewe?
If it's not essential (and Rusk's name being dropped suggests it isn't), FFS get Evo.

How this works is that if we win a game...leave Dunn till the end of the season.
Lose a game or draw to a lowly club....fans in meltdown/ panic mode, whats going on? Get someone in now etc etc.

I'd leave Dunn in charge until the end of the season
Nothing gained by making an approach now and upsetting their promotion push

We are on absolutely on the same page Tim. It seems like we are approaching managers and clubs who just aren't going to part company. Give DD the rest of the season, which lets him have a crack at it, you never know, he may be brilliant, but with the plan to get Evo as soon as he has got Barrow promoted. All will be happy then. I don't see the point in flaying around the manager market when there is no one really viable at the moment.

I don't think it's embarassing that we have been rejected by Robinson or Wellens. Far from it. We are showing ambition by approaching Managers who are doing well and playing football "the Blackpool way". It's always going to be difficult to get them to leave a job that might be their project to potentially show they have a lot more to offer.
We are a project that needs to give the likes of Ian Evatt that same opportunity. From the Board's point of view however that's a far bigger risk.
Grayson was a sensible appointment which show Sadler wasn't looking to take a risk. He was an experienced Manager with a good track record but it went pear-shaped.
So maybe we need a riskier choice?
I'm however warming to Dunney and I really think the best option is to keep him in caretaker charge until the end of the season.

At least if we got Evo it would make the fans united, afterall its what 95% of the fans want.

I’m pretty sure it’s not all down to Mansford herts,Sadler will have the final say so what’s to say it’s not Sadler dismissing Evo?

Agree with TAM. Leave Dunn in until end of season and then make decision'
Dunn has already shown a different style of football from Grayson, so we should be O.K. until end of season.
