It's almost here again. I've got my Fantasy league draft in 45 mins (me and 13 x Yanks) and the first game is Thursday night (so watch highlights in the morning).

Last season I tipped the Chiefs to beat the Lions - never expected the Eagles. This season, I'm going to go left field and say Baltimore will go all the way.

Baltimore does look strong this year if they can stay healthy. I’ve got a soft spot for the Chiefs still, but I wouldn’t mind seeing the Ravens take it all.

Thank Goodness
A welcome diversion
Unfortunately cant see my team faring much better than the 'pool this term
Think the Divisional winners will be:-
Bills
Ravens
Texans
Chiefs
Eagles
Packers (rest my mouth)
Buccs
Rams

Surprise package Redskins (ooops, sorry)

Bills v Eagles SB

All of a sudden, the Chiefs league isn't a joke!

AFC West with Chiefs, Broncos and Chargers all could win that division. Even the Raiders have a top coach now and Jeanty (who I drafted last night) and Geno won't be push overs.

Fortunately I'm a Jets fan so never need to worry about play offs or winning streaks

Does that mean you’re off to White Hart Lane Sept 12th then? Likely Stockport away on 11th postponed as international weekend.

As a Chargers fan, I can see us dropping off a bit this year, especially with Slater out for the season. The offensive line is a real worry and it hasn’t really been addressed. Looking forward to watching Omarian Hampton though, hoping for some explosive plays from him.

Broncos have added to what was already a beast of a defence, the Raiders are interesting and the Chiefs are the Chiefs so it’s shaping up to be an entertaining division.

As the Chargers aren’t a real contender I hope either the Ravens or the Bills make the step this year. I’d love the Bills to end the Chiefs hoodoo and I thought the Ravens were the best team in football for a lot of last season.

Me and my daughter are off to Philadelphia in October to watch the Eagles against the NYG!
Any recommendations appreciated as it’s our first ever NFL match
Get there a couple of hours before the game Woody. The atmosphere in the car parks for the 'tailgate ' is great fun.

Also let the stadium know in advance it's your first ever game and daughters. They'll look after you when you get in. We let the Jets know when we first went and ended up with great goody bags.

There's loads of food and fun in the stadium. You'll love it!

I’ve already contacted the Eagles Fan Hub and they’ve asked for our seat numbers etc and said they’ll pop up with a goody bag 👍
My daughter (21) is in remission from Cancer atm and I’ve explained that to them 👍👍👍

Ah the time of year when everyone is enthusiastic for the forthcoming season. Until we get to December and it's the same old teams in contention.

What a coup for Green Bay getting Parsons from Dallas. Huge money.

Dark horses for me this season will be Denver if Beau Nix continues his trajectory and them having added some steel in the D-line.

At least your outfit has a SB win to its name, Chunks.

I'm one of those still hoping and will doubtless be saying the same for the foreseeable future

What podcasts are decent for beginners? Just got into NFL and college last year, but loads to learn obviously. I've tried listening to a bunch of shows but lots of detail for a beginner!

Am I the only one disappointed that The Rezone is now including commercials? That said, I suppose it was inevitable.

I got my tickets for a 49ers game at the Met Life stadium a few months ago and it’s only 50-something days away…I cannot wait and hope to extend to a 4W 1L record. Our SB window has closed but it’ll still be fun.

Is the train or bus the way to get from Manhattan to New Jersey, Chunky? The YT videos aren’t ideal.

I am not sure there is podcast that explains the basics of American football. As you say most of them assume that you know the game and the people they are talking about.

Is there anything on YouTube?

If you've got access to Sky then Good morning football is light and easy to watch and got me knowing the players well.

Equally on Sky (or NFL network) you've got Pro-Football with Mike Florio and Chris Simms. That's also a podcast. My mate listens to "Heed the call" podcast.

The Sky coverage on match day or the evening before with UK presenters is often quite easy to watch and they do explain a lot of the basics. It's one of those games where you can watch it and understand it pretty quick. Then you watch a couple of seasons and realise there's a load more subtly to it and tactics that you didn't realise existed.

Get the subway to Port Authority. Walk through to the ticket area for the buses. It's well signposted and in fairness on game day you'll see a lot of shirts for both teams heading that way.

The special buses are great. Cheap and take you directly to the car park at MetLife where all the Tailgating is happening. I was there last year when it was the dirty G men at home. They had their drummer band in 'parking lot' which was awesome.

After the match you might queue for about 15-30 mins but the buses are regular and it's straight back to Port again. By far the best way and the quickest.

What on earth is this Big Game Night for NFL on Channel 5 tonight at 5.30?

I mean it's RedZone for me but I'll have to check in and see what it is. Dermot O'Leary, Sam Quek and Osi.

As Sam Quek’s on it 😍 I’ll take a look before switching to hopefully watch the Bengals 🐅 beat the Browns 💩 in the Battle of Ohio.

I’ll stick with New England.
Won’t need to change my emotions each weekend.

Come on, Stony.
You've had quite a run in recent years.
Remember watching the SB against the Bears when New England fan mates of nune were crying into their beer about being miles away

A long time ago, I worked in Michigan. Had a great time but the D Lions were hopeless. Maybe it’s me that’s a Jonah?

Jets did a Jets. Winning until the last kick of the game and then..... even Rodger's suddenly remembered how to air the ball out.

Bengals was bewildering. Think he only got a couple of passes away to Chase and Higgins and yeah, left my fantasy team in tatters week 1.

Cracking enjoyable night though. I am down at a friends in the Cotswolds so we both sat up until the Bills / Ravens and just about to watch the highlights if senior management doesn't over rule 😁

As mentioned previously the AFC West is looking strong this season.
My Chargers did well against the Chiefs and both the Broncos and the Raiders won.

My main hope is that when the pressure is on later in the season Nix and Smith cannot deliver.

It's such a mess Mac, down in Miami. McDaniel is dead man walking in such a dysfunctional set up. They remind me of Man United in the actions of Ross and just randomly signing 'names' or fast players with a QB who should have retired last year if not the year before.

They'll get murdered tonight at Buffalo

Yep, dreadful start and it will get worse tonight.

Really though Tua would be getting better protection but some of the play calls are shocking. McDaniel hanging on to his job by a thread.

Could they be the only ever team to have done a 17-0 and a 0-17????

It's tragic seeing how bad they are. How McDaniel is still there I have no idea.

Last night was crazy with the charged down field goals. Loved the Jets’ coach celebration 😁, they still lost but a great moment.

And Philly, wow!

My Chargers 3-0, didn’t see that coming 😮

Once again... 1min 39 to go I message the WhatsApp group "Jets take the lead so that means we will leave just enough time to be the Jets". Surprise surprise.....

Poor Glenn it was a cracking celebration but being an ex Jets himself he should have known better

I think this Jets - Broncos game is the biggest load of ass I've ever seen. Truly dreadful.

Not growing interest in the game abroad with this poo.

It's certainly not a classic, but still down to the wire and entertaining me more than that crap yesterday.
Chunks'll be biting his nails as the Broncos convert on 3rd. and 8, taking them into FG range

Going to the Jags v Rams game next week.
Shocking ticket prices and booking fees and some unglamorous games this year.
Oh, and Go Phins. Just Go for chrissakes.
