Nightmare weekend

Took the tram yesterday from Rossall to the match, absolutely packed and boiling hot, took an extra 20 minutes due to the crowds for the airshow. Full marks to the club, as soon as I went through the turnstiles a bottle of water was offered.

Then we lost.

The tram back was packed and stopped at central pier to wait until the red arrows to finish. Why I don’t know, as far as I’m aware, they only perform in the air. Just as we were to get going, a fight broke out on the tram. I then discovered that it terminated at Thornton gate, so I had to walk the rest of they way, drenched in sweat.

Yesterday my daughter went to leyland to visit a friend and stay a couple of days. She slipped on the stairs and broke her ankle this morning, so I had to get the train to get her and bring her car back. Took an hour and a half to Blackpool Vic where I’ve been for the last 2 hours and looking at, well I don’t know how long.

Cheesed off

Hope everything is ok fella.

We visited Mrs Lytham's relative in Oldham Royal, go early we thought, miss the traffic, 3 hours to get back, the sat nav took us through various Preston environs I would rather have never visited.

Hopefully a win against QPR will lift your spirits.

Very sorry. Sometimes we have shit days when everything seems to go wrong.

Hopefully the yang will come along soon, and you'll have a day where everything goes right

I think I was on your return tram. I was sweating buckets.

Hope everything is ok fella.

Yes, took me a similar time, with far too long going through Preston's suburbs.

Got home at 8.45 last night after sitting in that hot hospital from just after 2.30. She got fractures on both sides of her ankle, so this means she and her two children will be here for six weeks and whilst I love them, he’ll fire it’s going to be tough. She’s very demanding normally.

Do I take it that ‘Preston environs’ includes the Docks Rd link to Preston New Rd?
I had the misfortune of trying to avoid the traffic on the M61, M6 and M55?

So anyone reading this, avoid the Docks Rd at ALL times!!!!!! The dual carriageway has you compressed into one lane and Preston New Rd out of Lea has same restrictions. It took me approximately 1hr to crawl some 800metres.

And the roadworks will be there until the new M55 link to Windy Harbour is opened.

I knew it was bad down there, so went up the A6, then round Sharoe Green to rejoin the M55. Far too close to Deepdale for my liking.

All rubbish

No, it avoided those, took us through Bamber Bridge and the back of the town centre before depositing us on the M55 at Broughton.

And apparently Preston isn't a gigantic shit hole.

At least we have a shit hole people actually want to visit.

My daughter who's a teacher is currently at Kigali airport and was checking out some kids books to take to her class.
