Just tweeted he has another one about us tomorrow
6 weeks to go. I think ideally NC will want the majority of the squad in for season start.Hope it’s some incomings. This week was pretty dull tbh
Someone want to go out and get a Sun to see or we all waiting for him to Tweet?
(I’m not near anywhere I can get a copy!)
Keshi Anderson can play there Devonshire. Not sure if we need another striker having lost Hardie and Weston, if something happens to Yates we would be short of options, don’t like the idea of pushing a player like Fonz up front.
Not sure, I've read plenty of disparaging remarks on this board about him.I don’t think anyone’s said he isn’t good enough for this league. He‘s proved that he can defend it the issue is around his ability to play with the ball at his feet and the style we’re wanting to implement.
Good final point. Playing on the right side of a back three just never was his position. I hate to say it but it was so blatantly obvious yet Grayson couldn't see it.Hope it works out well for the lad. Will get to play in front of 50k+ at celtic and rangers.
Goes against the grain but I thought he was good enough for this league, and was in the team when we looked our best in the first 8 or 10 games last season. Needed a ball-playing centre half next to him.
He started getting pelters when he was asked to bomb up the wing when grayson started accommodating heneghan. Almost asked to be a tricky winger, weirdly enough he wasn't.
Don't forget about Madine. Not sure if we need another striker having lost Hardie and Weston, if something happens to Yates we would be short of options, don’t like the idea of pushing a player like Fonz up front.
I am expecting Madine to have a good season, but doubt he can be expected to play every week. I also understand Anderson can play up front but like the Fonz they are not out and out strikers, so I still think if something happens to Yates our options are limited ( Madine plus either Nutall or a makeshift striker). I doubt we will play a lone striker so I still think we need another to replace Haride and Weston either whom could have given the manger options to consider.Don't forget about Madine.

Also a bit of a fallacy to think we need a team of beckenbauers to play out from the back. If your full backs and one centre half is comfortable on the ball that is more than enough.
Admire your confidence but I have my doubts. Movement and pace aren't his greatest strengths and if Critchley wants to play that way I only see Madine being an impact player from the bench ifwe are perhaps chasing the game.I am expecting Madine to have a good season, but doubt he can be expected to play every week. Yep agree again. It's just a case of how Critchley wants to play it. I'd certainly want another centre half in if it's just a two and if it's a three he has to be the middle one. But overall I think he'll either be gone or at best a sub for us.Agree with everything you say and I actually don't think his distribution was *that bad*
He's a league one player, not VVD and I thought as a centre half he read the game well (he had to as he has no pace at all) and looked decent at the centre of the three.
He's not a player to build a championship winning campaign in the league above around but actually, I thought he did fine in his rightful position and despite him looking horribly uncomfortable on the right, I don't remember him doing anything other than manfully doing his best there.
He's experienced enough to keep it simple and play within his limits.

You could well be right, but going back to my original point if Yates is out for some time and as you say Madine is just an impact player coming off the bench then our options are very limited Nuttal to lead the line supported by a makeshift striker such as Fonz or Anderson. I cannot see that getting us anywhere enough goals to chase a top 6 place, so I think at least one of loans should be a young forward.Admire your confidence but I have my doubts. Movement and pace aren't his greatest strengths and if Critchley wants to play that way I only see Madine being an impact player from the bench ifwe are perhaps chasing the game.
I think, even more so now, that what we need is an experienced, captain material centre half. Filling that position with the right person could make the team.
Ryan Edwards to Dundee United is a rumour. If that's true, then we need at least one more centre halfSo, anything of real interest?

Don't forget Thorniley mate, came with a good rep from MASSIVE fans, according to Scrafton he had some bad luck with injuries etc last year, I'd still say we need 2 tbh but he could be like a new signing himself.Said from the start we needed 3. With big Marv on board we need another 2
Agree, as you say what we need we may already have. Just not had the chance to see the best of them for one reason or another.Don't forget Thorniley mate, came with a good rep from MASSIVE fans, according to Scrafton he had some bad luck with injuries etc last year, I'd still say we need 2 tbh but he could be like a new signing himself.
We've got a few like that tbh, Thorniley, Grant, Madine.......none of them were fit last year Imo
I think our main system it'll be 1 central striker (Yates) with a 2 of Sarkic, Anderson, Hamilton, KaiKai etc playing wide of him, and a no,10 just behind.......I wonder whether Kaikai could be the man up front. He’s got pace and skill and can finish.
Plus our loan signing might this season be a young striker?

Because it's not a case of counting numbers is it? We'll move players on and get better ones in. We're short in midfield and at centre back and I'd be looking for another keeper. The club has a squad of 27 players according to wikipedia a lot of whom we have never seen play
how can we say the club needs more players?

Bange is on a 1 year youth extension following an injury hit season. No need for him to go out on loan.I'd guess Yussuf, Devitt, Shaw and Bange will be offered loans, either to get them out of the way or to give them experience of competition which takes us down to 23. Rob Edwards is off probably so that's 22.
Then you've Garrity, Antwi and Sims who have almost no experience of pro football at first team level.
That's now 19 what you'd call 'established' players.
Whether Garrity can step up to offer something really interests me. Critch put him on the bench in his last game above more established players suggesting he liked what he'd seen.

It's RYAN Edwards, TD53.
We don't want a hattrick of Rob Edwards. One of them was bad enough and I didn't think the other was too great either.
