No fans at EFL games until 2021

cant see any mass attending of any venues until a cure or vaccine is found,when something is found things will start to get back to normal
 
Yeah seen that and its annoying because I've been to every game this season and want my 100% record. I know some of you havent been to every game for a while since the PL days. but I'm sure you can appreciate my frustration (smiley)
 
Another guess work rumour we are getting plenty of them I suppose they have to write something.

So basically the football season won't start till 2021 if your to believe the article because there isn't a chance clubs can open their doors without fans coming threw the turnstiles.
Are the players,officials and staff all going to work for free from August to December that's 5 months no chance.

Subscription TV apart of course from the mugs who've renewed their season tickets (rolls eyes)
 
I wouldn't be surprised at all that there would be no spectators in football grounds (and rugby grounds) until 2021. We are going to be living with the virus until a vaccine is available and that will probably be 2021. It is just not possible to socially isolate in grounds and just look at the potential correlation between Spanish fans going to Liverpool just before the lockdown and thd higher incidence of the virus there.

Rugby won't start either Pete they are as much in the shite as football unless you can survive primarily of any forthcoming TV revenue how on earth do you pay your bills?

Just don't see how anyone can speculate so far in advance. It's an ongoing situation which is constantly being reviewing. Not saying we will be back before the end of the year but it's purely speculation.
 
Right if that's the case then why not finish this season then. Makes sense to me. Give them January to get fit and maybe match fit with a couple of behind closed door friendlies. Then start February playing the rest of this season with no midweek games. Play offs could be potentially be done by early May so plenty of preparation time for Euros.
Then ready to go for season 21/22. In effect no season 20/21.

You've got to remember that these sports journalists actually have no sport to cover at the moment. So they're desperately scraping the barrel to try and find stories. And they're quite possibly making things up as well.
It wouldn't surprise me if there was an interview soon with Harry Kane's dog giving his opinion on how the season should be finished. You've got Gary Neville at the moment talking and acting like he's the spokesman for the whole football world. And numerous others all throwing their opinion in, trying to justify their existence.
The vast majority of these people actually have no influence whatsoever on what is going to be decided. So particularly at the moment I tend to take what I read in the papers and on social media with a huge pinch of salt.
 
Well it would be the same for music concerts. Festivals. Theatres cinemas. Viva all have gatherings of more than a few hundred

Still don't understand how clubs will be able to play behind closed doors with no Season Ticket/merchandise/corporate/sponsorship in the till.
