Now we know who the Happy Clappers are!

BSA: Can we have a ballot for a goal scoring/celebration tune?

Simon Sadler: We have fantastic supporters who make incredible noise when we score, so I wouldn’t want to do anything that dilutes that. This is not something we are looking at.
I didn't want to dig them out after reading it but it's just a so out of touch question with reality it's unreal. Were they at Bloomers this season? What would a goal song do for us? Nothing at all.

We play music right up until kick off which we don't need, can we ** turn it off please? Would be a better question.

Been a bit quiet on the whole pricing issue, usually a lot to say on it... slight st increase, membership and 30 quid matchday price model... thoughts?
Should be no more than 25 and 20 with a membership.
Hate ripping off away fans and now their going to pay 30 when apart from London and the odd one most for us pool fans on our travels have paid less.

Is it standard across clubs to have 212 supports groups? Or is it just us?

Am I the only one that finds it odd all these supports groups not only exits but are entertained?
Guess Torycorner invented a group so he could attend. It should be thrown open to all the fans. Then a ballot to see who gets invited.

I've not really read the details yet cos very busy atm. Would rather have time to think about it than just give an opinion blithely. In general, lower matchday tickets is my priority. Don't mind a small increase in STs cos floating fans won't buy them and costs rise but matchday tickets should be cheaper across board as they're way in to more supporters.

Not looked at it properly like I say.

I believe 18-21 is now a reduction category? That's good if true.

Not really 20’s, the response should have been “thank you for your suggestion, but as BSA we feel there are bigger issues to focus on”.
Yes really. If a member requested that the question be asked then they should ask it. Seems it was dealt with pretty swiftly so don'r see what the problem is.

Yes better for youngsters, but 30 adult price flat, no cat system. Membership 15 quid and knocks it down to 25.

Infact it doesn't mention if it goes up on the day too, surely not......

Love the membership scheme but to actually rase match day price is bloody bonkers it must be less than 5 games out of 23 which have been Cat A paying 28 and the rest 24/20 now the word around town will be to watch the pool it's going to be 30 quid!!!

Tbf the owners on the verge of announcing £30 million investment for a stand and training ground. If a large part of the fan base are baulking at 5 quid more a ticket I’m not sure we deserve him as an owner.

£30 is too high. I appreciate a membership brings it down but I dunno, £30 to walk on a game of football seems excessive.

I guess it's done so we can also take more from away tickets?

I just don't understand why the German league can provide top flight football for cheaper costs for fans than our third and fourth tiers.

This is a football problem, not a Blackpool problem.

In the notes its worded as they listened to fans on the membership but then put upto 30, which no-one asked for.

You can get cheaper still in the family area though......

Sorry not sure I follow that response tbh.
Well two posters got it straight away with likes.
You can put fans into several categories most on here are die hards and not those who come and go with choosing games that camp won't give a toss what is spent on a training ground but 30 quid a ticket.

But you could argue should the Club be bending over for these?

Not many membership models would?

So they don’t give a toss but we’ll make it cheaper for them?

The point is, people who come every now and again, or have never been before don't care about the broader context.
Given our current capacity situation, how great is that number. Minuscule if you ask me.

For me and in my opinion, given the size of our club the majority of fans that attend even semi regularly know about the broader context and care about the club I know a fair few personally that are like that. They just don’t go every single week or purchase a season ticket. Plus isn’t the season ticket price going up slightly so by the same logic isn’t it ‘bonkers’ putting any price up.

Fundamentally we have serious outlays coming up in order to grow the club, if a small increase in prices isn’t acceptable to people I’m not sure we re gonna get the club the majority of the fan base want.

Well it was shockingly worded tbf, and I wasn’t looking for an argument I just think we re gonna have to accept price increases to fund a successful club. Part of the problem with this board is the ‘like’ function, people measure pure shite in some case with likes. Embarrassing

It's not about making it cheaper for them to do them a favour. You have to get these people in the ground initially then hope to convert them into regulars who then will care about the club.

Yep I agree, which we are doing by offering a membership. £15 and they get it £5 cheaper.

Attend 3 or more games and it’s paid for itself and cheaper than CAT A £28 this season.

They can have a membership?

This new scheme means we can charge away fans more every game whilst offering tickets for £25 for home fans.

Decent solution.
Not really when most of the games have cost less this season-24/20 and it's going to cost you £15 to get a 25 ticket next year.

Come on AK you go to away games how many times have you paid 30 to get in certainly not many in the North of England?

And the locals who rock up on a game by game situation seriously give a fuck about any of that?
Yep new fans or casuals on coming to the ground to try a game....

"Let's try the football shall we."

'Thats 30 pound each please...'

"30 quid thats steep, when my mate came last season it was 20."

'Well you can buy a membership for 15 quid that reduces it down to 25 each game...'

"We only planned for this game.. that'll make it 40 for this one...."

'Well Simon is planning on building a training ground and a new stand if that helps....'

Door closing sound....

(Just a joke before anyone has a go.... I appreciate the spend but some casuals or new fans won't.) 🙄

I suppose one positive way of looking at it is this...

Preston fans will kindly be donating over 65k to our new training ground and east stand this year.....

Yep that’s a fair point 👍🏼 £30 is pricey but I just think we are always going to be a popular away day so if we have the opportunity to maximise that we should.

The membership is the next best option to a ST whilst being able to do the above. Can’t please everyone, the floating fan can be enticed with special game deals… on production of membership 🤣

Your Maths is terrible.🤣
3 games at 28 is £84
3 games at 25 + 15 membership is £90
Seeing that the majority of games where 24 or less this season it really is a bad comparison.😁

To be honest I don't think the pricing is bad, but I don't think it will entice new fans.
The prospect of good football and being part of something exciting will entice new fans. If you want to be cheap as your selling strategy you have to sell loads more to the passing trade. Ask Spoons. - we can't do that, our stadium is pretty full already most match days. I acknowledge this isn't great for people on lower incomes etc btw.

We’re looking after fans who don’t have season tickets but still go to as many as they can, surely that’s a good thing.

On the flip side to the previous arguments we can’t build pricing around people who turn up once a season and will maybe come again and maybe won’t. We would also be throwing away revenue from away fans in the meantime, who aren’t going to quibble over a couple of quid to come to the best away day on the calendar.

That's a good point, hopefully combined with a few cheap promotions now and then. Would be good if they can get the issues resolved and use more of the east stand on a regular basis

Great point this - most away fans will treat the matchday ticket as a small part of their weekend awayday budget. Just as well once they experience the unique Spirit of Gene Kelly experience 😗- but seriously, most away fans at BFC look like they're having a fine old time of it taking in the full majesty of our throwback facilities.

Seems mansford is looking into egress for away fans so hopefully something for the new season that allows us to maximise capacity.

Is it just me that wants to know the persons who asked song suggestions for the ballot? If only to see how fuckin stupid they are?
The name is in the minutes. The text of the opening post on here was lifted from my original tweet. I took the name off to save personal insults and to point out how petty and out of touch the BSA representatives are.
