Nurses planning a strike

They're done an amazing job and we will forever be grateful however they trained to help people and that's what they have done.

This country will see the biggest recession in our history later this year with many people losing jobs, houses and potentially everything they've worked for so the NHS need to be thankful they will have an income.
They're are done an amazing job aren't they?

So how does 'forever grateful' translate to to the real world?

a bit ott, Shandy, imo. Laneends view may not come across as sympathetic to you but it’s a pretty rational view, for once 😉

It will be interesting to see if austerity applies to MPs when they vote on their payrise.
"Who votes we get 10%" ?
The ayes have it.......

What happened to the millions Captain Tom made for the NHS? I’m quite sure he meant it to go to the workers and not into some black hole.

I thought their moto was to help people, I remember the Fire service going on strike in the 70s and the death count.
Moto, the service stations?

There isn't a nursing 'motto', the closest is Tradimus Lampada.

Anyway, the pay 'rise' will be reviewed, Rishi Sunak has dropped a massive clanger and even his own party know it.

Yes it’s appalling that nurses are considering strike action over their proposed £3.50 a week pay rise.
How on earth do they think the nation will be able to afford to pay up to £7,000 per day to the world-beating Test and Trace consultants if we give them any more?
