O/T Emma Raducanu.

Outstanding tennis performance by Emma and well deserved the win against the world no 12 and Olympic champion. Watch the TV programmes in the morning and the gutter press build her up to be this iconic figure yet there was nothing today from what l saw, pisses me off!

Fabulous that. She played great.

Tennis television does irk me a little with the faux ecstasy. And then they invite foreign players on comms to join in with the hysterics. Poor Jim Courier and Mary-Jo.

And then they repeatedly ask if she could win it. Of course she can win it. She should be disappointed if she doesn't win it. Such a British attitude "Dare she win it Margaret?". "Well I'm not sure Joan. She is only young and a qualifier".

And now the British No.1 tennis player! Hope she can do it, it would be an incredible story, world no. 368 just a couple of months ago!

I've never seen anything like it. This girl has got the lot.
That smile alone will earn her millions.
There have been high hopes for a few of ours in the past but this is on another level.

I almost hope she doesn't, might be a bit much too quickly?
She will be ok, if she doesn't get distracted by 2 things. Firstly, they don't overplay her in too many tournaments, representing GB in cup tournaments, Olympics, etc. She needs to pick and choose whilst developing her game further and will need some rest between big tournaments. Secondly, she doesn't get distracted by too much off screen commercial activity, because she bound to get lots of offers with her looks and personality. Again, she needs to do things in a measured way and focus on her tennis at this stage of her career.

Just watched the semi. Wow -she gets better. Well deserved win against her highest ranked opponent to date. Dismantled her. First qualiffier in the men's or women's tennis to get to a Grand Slam final. First GB woman time since Virginia Wade in1977 to get to Slam Final. Let's hope she can do it once more against another unseeded teenager. First time 2 unseeded players been in a final

Brilliant win, thought Sakkari would present a much tougher challenge. Glad I woke up in time to watch some more tennis history being made.

What a fantastic match, fantastic result brilliant young woman. The first qualifier ever to reach a slam final, all the we way without dropping a set can’t wait for the final. On top of all that she is a very unassuming young lady, with her feet firmly on the ground, well done Emma.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

It defied belief really, that's nine matches without dropping a set, if she stays fit she's going to win it, unbelievable and brilliant.

Ironically, I think that Fernandez will be a tougher opponent, partly because she is also an unseeded 'unknown' and partly because she is a left hander

An absolutely stunning performance.
The first Brit to reach the final of the US Open since Christine Truman over 50 years ago.
The final is scheduled for 9pm on Saturday.
Two teenagers in the final ...left hander and right hander..bring it on.
It will almost be a shock if Emma doesn't win it the way she has played in this tournament.

Didn’t watch it due to the time as driving home today.
This girl just gets better and better and another match won without dropping a set. 😮

Belinda Bencic was actually ranked higher than Sakkari! I thought Sakkari had the potential to be more of a threat than Bencic!
