Used to be a bit of a thing back in the day (or night) on the old site. What are you listening to mostly at the moment?

Apart from having Radio 6 on I have been listening to quite a bit of trip hop, so Massive Attack, Everything But the Girl, Portishead and Archive. Also been listening to Velvet Underground.

And this is a legedary if you are multiculturalist to get the wisdom of the words, if not, you will still understand the paradoxical underlying beat

Manics, Depeche Mode live in Berlin, Deacon Blue live at Barrowlands, REM, Counting Crows, Waterboys, James, Bluetones, OCS, Pearl Jam and Audioslave. Still lots to get through.

I had bloody Domino by Genesis on in the gym before and was well in to it. I'm seeking professional help tomorrow.

There is a new wave of American blue eyed soul harking back to the 70's of Jackie Wilson & Curtis Mayfield.
Durand Jones, Leon Bridges & St Paul and the broken bones....well worth checking out.

GJJW I’d almost forgotten your amazing taste in music 🎸 for me I’m listening to DMA‘s Unplugged the singers voice is amazing 👍

Off to watch Deacon Blue 4 times at the end of the year pal. First time they have played Blackpool in 25 years!

Brilliant mate I was the gig 25 years ago at The Winter Gardens , I went for tickets for Oxford but lefty it too late but to fare I’ve got loads coming up so need to reign myself in , Enjoy the Pool gig 👍 enjoyed their cover of Springsteens Dancing in the Dark 🎸

I was there too mate. Bunked off college and queued up from 1ish to make sure I got to the front. Yes, got Stereophonics in March in Manchester, Killers at OT in June (more for the daughter and wife), Crowded House at Castlefield Bowl in July and all the DB gigs at end of year. Rumours Del Amitri releasing new material and touring this year too.

Now this has given me the musical urge whilst on soap opera avoidance got wishbone ash on.

My wife got me tickets for The Killers supported by Sam Fender at The Emirates then booked a few days in Spain for same weekend so can’t do that one 😞

Love Phonics ever since Word Gets Around and thought Stuart Cable was an awesome drummer God rest his soul. Helps that we are all Welsh too!

Sad mate but heard the same. Looking forward to the gig. One of the few bands the Mrs and I both like. Staying over and making a day and night of it in Manc too.

Cheers bud. Be nice to meet up one day to discuss in person. Have a good un.

Cant agree with that Herts but each to their own. Defo became more commercial I will give you that.

I've been listening to the new (unreleased) Bowie track...

His late mid-to-late 90's stuff is probably my favourite. (TND and Blackstar aside!)

The music on that track is amazing Zigire. Not sure I’d call it unreleased though, more like unfinished. It clearly needs his beautiful voice singing over the music. What a loss that man is to the world.

Been listening to a lot of Django Django and Parquet Courts recently.
Next batch of gigs for me are The Ramona's on Friday, Working Men's Club Saturday and the last ever gig for Blackpool's The Poly-Esters on next Sunday. Thank God it's half term week after that lot.
Elvis Costello in March as well.

saw the Parquer Courts in a pub in Cambridge 2 or 3 years ago, great. I saw Elvis Costello was on up there, that’ll be brilliant, I was hoping he was going to come here, he usually does but not this time sadly.
