Anyone had experience of moving your gas and electric meters
I’m having a small extension done which will require both metres to be moved about 3 metres.
I’ve had one builder who has used his own spark and plumber to do the work across the road from me and he says it is all above board and a hell of a lot cheaper than using the gas and electric boards to do the work.
However on the flip side I have had 2 builders who have said they wouldn’t attempt to do it and suggested I get in touch with my provider which I have done but got no reply yet.

Use the network operator - it’s a painful process and can take ages to organise, but it will save you a load of grief, especially if anything went tits up later!

The only thing I would strongly advice against is not putting your electric meter close to a smart meter
