o/t Sad news about Tony Parkes

To listen to his daughter and see Tony, it's quite obvious that he's in very good hands. She now needs to be strong for him , which she seems to be, and ensure that he receives the best life possible in his limiting disease. A very shocking, sad, debilitating and progressive disorder, which I hope I never have to endure. 😕

Really sad for him & his family from my knowledge you slowly lose your loved one it’s something that I would not wish on my worst enemy. Hope he can have some quality of life for as long as possible.

Lovely words Curryman

My grandad has very early stages of Alzheimer’s. It’s very trying for all concerned.

You can be holding a conversation about something and then they’ll go back to the beginning of the same conversation some times and start again. It’s heartbreaking and my thoughts are with all of Tony’s family

Really nice to see the lads getting behind him - we had a great squad at one point didn't we. Still struggling to identify with any of this squad! All the best to Tony and his family - sure the players make him proud.

Very distressing and sad. To the OP though; he hasn't got Parkinson's disease, that's something different altogether.

That's really sad. I hope and his family can get the support they need. A fundraising game versus Blackburn for Alzheimer's support shouldn't be too hard to arrange given the obvious links between the two sides at the moment.

Nice idea. Did he ever get a job after he left the Seasiders as that must be over 10 years ago?
His wife was very poorly & I think he looked after her. Something should be done his skills in spotting a player earns this club millions & ultimately ousting the Os
