O/T - Things to do in Leeds,? Aye Up

Doing an “overnighter” in Leeds to attend a wine tasting at the beginning of November. With around 100+ wines available to taste, I’ve booked a Premier Inn for the night and return rail travel from Preston for £16.60.

As I’ll be in Leeds all day the day of the tasting and the following day, looking for recommendations for stuff to do (and places to eat) in Leeds City Centre that won’t require a lot or walking.

Also, recommendations for top notch Indy Coffee Shops (so far, I have 200 Degrees and Fika North on the list and will probably give House Of Koko a miss as the name puts me off)

Thanks In Advance

Only ever been to Leeds twice.
First time to visit Dads' brother. 2nd time with MrsDP (many years later). She also was born there.
I've got Leeds blood from Dad, and a Leeds born wife.
Where did I go wrong? 😜

If you like history, here’s a couple of suggestions...

Take the No. 36 bus north for 35 minutes to Harewood House. It’s a magnificent building with original interiors.
£18 ticket entry.

Visit the Royal Armouries Museum in the city centre at Leeds Dock.
Free entry.

I remember a pub near the brewery. Adelphi? Beer was 10 out of 10.
I can’t remember the name of the pub, but you actually queued outside and when you eventually got to the bar, you got a pint with three quarters beer and one quarter froth. It was a fantastic pint.

Ambietie - sherry tasting (not my natural choice) but very pi++ed after that). Lovely place. Rudy's is the gran daughters favourite and great pizzas

Well, the wine tasting was decent but other than that I think the following chant sums the place up

Leeds is a s******* I want to go home
