Off Day

Probably the defeat at home to Cardiff was the blessing in disguise I remember thinking that it was going to be a bloody long season.

Due to injuries and recruitment we had a soft touch midfield pairing of Ward and James, Cardiff were average height 6’4” and just battered us with long ball dinosaur shit whilst kicking us up in the air when we tried to play pretty patterns.

As ever, Critch learnt. Keogh, Dougall, Madine, Wintle entered the team with a more pragmatic style.
More robust and allowed Keshi and an improving new signing Bowler to start doing their thing.

It is a more physical league than Div 1 ironically

I don't fully agree with that. When we lost to Coventry and Huddersfield at home, early in the season I think posters were recognising that we needed to up our game to compete in the Championship.

Thought about this topic a bit more and Luton also deserved their win at our place, they were the better team that day.

Out first season In The championship
In all honesty you’ve lingered in the championship for years so you should be well above us not by just 1 point and we have a game in hand on you aswell so we beat Barnsley and we’re above you.

After each win I always look at the opponents forums to see what they made of us. As has already been stated other supporters see us as a little club and always expect to beat us. Very disrespectful. What I have also noticed is how rarely the opposition give us credit for how good we are afterwards. It is always a case of their team having an off day. I guess we are all biased, but it is such a miserable attitude. Its no coincidence that all teams are having an off day (including Fulham) when they play Blackpool at the moment.

And after those three games in hand we are now above you although some 'pool fans said we would still be below you because of fixture pile up, etc, etc. But they were proved wrong. End of the day though we will most probably both be in the Championship next season.

You were 5 points behind with 4 games in hand at one point. Now you're one ahead and we've a game in hand. So basically you've picked up 6 points from 5 games. Promotion form🤣🤣🤣
 
It's a load of crap because if they'd say taken an early lead with the shot Grimshaw saved the game would have been played in a different way anyway and so if's and but's never really work in football.
