Just read your thread on the old site about it being dead, comedy gold, made me laugh out loud several times!! Silly old fuckers! They'll all be over here and joining in in a few weeks. Hilarious. 😄
 
The lads need to get over.....”staying til the death” ffs ......yes so am I but it IS shutting.... so pretending it means something when everyone can come on here and carry on exactly the same negates that nonsense 😁

what Also makes me howl with laughter is some posters on here saying the new Board is better in content of posting.....it’s the same posters bar some who havent joined yet....it ain’t gonna be a nicer place or a worse place In terms of Content when everyone has signed up.....it will be exactly the same posters on a new site ....with better functionality ....that’s all it is 👍

There's some things that are worth making a stand over and some things that definitely aren't, but it seems like Dads Army are digging in over there, so I suppose we just have to leave them to it... 👍
 
The stubbornisters will all sign up eventually as they’ll have no choice,plus they’d miss the ego trip their threads engender if they don’t! So they’ll have to…Break on through to the other “site” OK Thankyou Jim.

Agreed, save energy for a battle worth fighting. I did my due diligence and the new site is kosher so I’m as cool as the first day at Rydell High 👍
 
I think overall the take up has been so successful simply because this new platform is obviously such an improvement over the old & you realise that straight off the bat when you get here. Had it not been light years ahead of the old girl, a lot more would have dug their heels in and this possibly wouldn't have worked out, key was getting most of the big gun posters over so quickly, it's the posters that make a forum after all & there is inevitably always a few with a bit more about them in any given pool of people.

Stig, I’m Recruiting, as a trusted guy, some of the reluctant Big Guns from the old site like OG and Bada....I am like an old school recruiter for the Army 👍

Doesn't really matter. There are plenty still using the old site and plenty of the ones slagging them keep revisiting. I'm quite liking using both now and will do 'till the other shuts down. So each to their own (old site's better though 😁}
