Oi political clique

The article starts with a lie then throws insults at Trump. Cages for illegal immigrants in the US were used way before Trump - indeed the old steel cages (photos everywhere) were from Obama's tenure. Never let a good lie get in the way of a political dig. So Brexit was rigged as well as Trump's election?
The journalist obviously lives in area 51.. I would suggest that totalitarianism starts with control of the media - take note Mr Journalist O'Toole.
 
Not sure I go along with some of the examples, Brexit had nothing to do with fascism. However, the main argument chimes with my personal view that the right wing media is being used to destroy opponents of those on the same political page. Trump's argument at impeachment wasn't that what he had done was acceptable, it was that the senate and congress did not have the power to tell him what he could and couldn't do.

Control of the media is vital to any totalitarian regime, a better example may have been Downing Street's attempt to only allow a civil servant to brief right wing media, stopped only by the journalistic integrity of all the print media (never thought I'd say that!)

On reflection, maybe Fascism is the wrong peg, maybe Totalitarianism is a better description.
