I reckon you would have to be supporter of a certain vintage to remember that ! I was at both and will hazard a stab of 3-1 against West Brom and 4-1 in the league cup against Villa , I’ve not googled it !

Right for both games. I think we're about the same vintage in fact we may know each other if you are from Ansdell I lived on Forest Drive for many years.

I was at the Villa match, the West Brom game was before I started going. I know we won the league cup match 4-1 as Ansdell said. Was the other a 3-1 defeat.

Yes , a 3 1 defeat. The final home game of a miserable season where we only won 1 league game at BR.

It’s the South West corner (what is now the family stand) up as the south East corner was only built when the Armfield stand went up which was a good few years later

The south west corner (Family Stand) is used every game. I’m talking about the south east corner by the hotel which has only been used a handful of times.

I have no idea why I was focusing on the Bury home end - think it must have been because a Pool smoke bomb had been thrown over there and I have photos of it.

Great picture Pickers. What a super player he was at that time that's for sure. He single handedly kept us in division 1 with his goals and assists and his passing and dribbling skills.
Top top player we were lucky to have and too watch.

Higsons was shit. I remember stumbling on a CAMRA meeting in the kings arms and they were all drinking lager.
