Chewing our fingernails off all week, having taking in all the pre-match propaganda ? Gillingham’s central strike force, in reality, had feet of clay, and I have seen Milk turn quicker.

Ive watched Akinde through the last few years on FL show he’s usually brilliant, id be looking at him next year for a back up striker

he played a stinker yesterday but every player has games like that

To be honest Oliver looked good at times and I would welcome into our squad but seems he's being hunted from higher up. My mistake it was Graham who looked the better 😕

Really? I thought Oliver was their stand out player. Got frustrated towards the end but looked a threat.

EDIT it was Graham I meant not Oliver

I have to admit pre match I was scared poopless after a certain poster's😛build up of them that I thought we were playing Paris St G'ham with Mbappa up front- more like Mbob as (Alan) Hanson might have said.

Some on here talking like Graham is the best player in the division, after his goal he did nowt, Turtons probably cleaning him out of his pocket as we speak - no better than Kaikai

Akinde had one very good season but he's a poor Akinfenwa. Was more worried about Oliver who's been in a very rich vein of form and because of his size would I feel was part of the reason he brought Ballard back in because of his height.. We coped admirably and they posed little threat after the first ten minutes or so.

I thought Graham had a good game, his head dropped after the fourth goal and he kept getting caught offside, but he's
a class player.

Akinde has been a good player at League 2 level, with Barnet etc. Not sure he's top of League One standard. Even at Lincoln they weren't pulling up trees

I thought Graham played well early on ,until we got a grip of him. Largely though, I thought we controlled the game from start to finish. The most pleasing thing for me ( apart from the result, goals and performance of course) was how we ,in the main, dominated them in the air. Usually, we are pretty abysmal in this respect ,but from the first whistle the aggression was there.
Best performance of the season. Well done to everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!

He's 30 this year - think we should be looking at a prospect for the future. Whilst I love Madine I think he highlights the problems with older players.

Agree. I really don't see Madine being here next season so imo we should be looking around for the younger version of that type of player which is an essential part of building a squad..

Not nesser-celery.

Not every club has a Madine. I'm not arguing against having one, let me be clear!
